I wish I never played FF7 so I could play it all over again "fresh."

Anyone here play FF7 or Advent-Children?

I still postulate that FF7-2 will exist, since Square-Enix decided to make Final Fantasy 7 a franchize (Read: Final Fantasy 7 Compilation).

I'm playing through it yet again, really taking my time this time, only playing once in a while. Might fire it up in a few, actually, as sleep just doesn't look very likely (what a surprise).

I miss this game. One of only 2 games that I have played over more then twice. Starwars Knights of the Old Republic being the other.

Yes, AC is a CG movie (unfortunately).

I envy your game Gurck. I wish I was playing a game right now but for some reason I can't get my self to start it.

I wish I could find a copy on PC for less than £50.
Most new games cost £25, no way I'm paying £50 for FF7.
Played it years ago, would dearly love to play it again though :(

FF7 really was great. I couldn't wait to get home and play it. Is Advent Children out yet? What about an American release?

I've had FF7 for Playstation for about four years now and have yet to play it. Perhaps I'll start it up this week.

Advent Children is not out yet, and Squenix is ambiguous about when they expect it to be. Japan has a tentative "sometime in 2004" release date and America is supposed to get it a few months after the Japanese release. I predict a release date in time for Christmas 2004 and an American release sometime in April 2005.

hmm...let's breathe some life into this thread.

Anyone up for sharing favorite moments/characters in the game? What about impressions/reviews?

i have both copies PC and PS but i don't want to go thru the hassle of setting up the controller so that just leaves the PS version but i don't like playing video games in the liveing room. my PS2 gets used more by visitors than it does by me.

 takes all of 5 seconds to set up a controller, provided you have one - and your post implies that you do.

i dont miss the game so much as i miss playing the game for the first time.

its the first time thats so important and gives it that feeling of being 'great' every time after that is just lacking, for a reason, the first time playing a truely good game cannot be beat. theres just something about it, you remember it as being so good, looking back on it now i dont know how i could have sat through it all.

Hey Gurck, where are you in the game? My main deterrant is probably the fact I don't want to pay through Midgar again. The later stuff I love (and for some reason can't quite remember as well) - like the Huge Materia quests and whatnot.

it took me a while last time don't remeber why, and it was still kinda buggy. but i have a realy old controler and that was on WIN98. XP might work better. but i'm far to lazy to actualy do it any time soon.

finding all the "hidden" charecters were the best part of the game for me. Vincent = azz-kicker.

and beating those hardcore boses that were actually harder than sephiroth. I cant remeber what they were called, ruby something? I know one was underwater and the other was in the desert.

Heh if I were to play it again, I'd run it on an emu on my pc. Uncapping frame limit (ie 200+ fps during battles :p) makes powerleveling so much easier. I played ff9 on my PS for a while...got about 20 hours into it and then just stopped. Played it later on my comp using epsxe and I dunno, emus seem to make things better :) save states are handy

Ruby weapon in the desert, emerald weapon in the ocean. For me emerald weapon wasn't hard, just annoying sitting thru the animation for KotR and seeing the timer tick down =P and ruby seemed pretty easy...just KotR and mimic.

I just finished Breath of Fire 4. After the great 1-3 I can't believe how crappy 4 is. 5 got rave reviews and horrible sales . . . I picked up a copy for $15 and it's next on my list-of-things-to-do-while-I-still-have-free-time
