Perk - well I think those who admire those who worked hard to get to where they are at will respect Cheney for what he has achieved in life.

Dave - I think your title edit is addressed in my Topic Summary 😉

Anyway - I really enjoyed volunteering and I think many people here should do the same if they feel strongly for their candidates - not just for the Presidential portion of the election either. It was great fun and I plan on doing as much as possible in the future(except the phone banks - I'm on the phone too much at work). Get out there if you want to actively support the people you believe in - it makes the system work.

I agree, though I haven't had the time or inclination to help out locally yet....

I just found something I can do with my five week break between summer and fall quarter. Sweet!
awesome!
5 weeks!
i've only got 2.

Cad... are you telling me that he isn't devoid of a soul as the TV makes him look?

seriously.. I?m just jealous.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. Like I've said here on multiple occasions - I wasn't to keen on Cheney but then again I really didn't know much about him because I just accepted the media's protrayal of him. I volunteered for the event because I support Bush but in my digging to find out more about the man I was going to help(Cheney) I found out he wasn't the monster the media casts him as. Meeting him solidified that. Sure he was the CEO of Haliburton and a pretty powerful political figure but the guy seemed genuinely down to earth.

To those who posted murderous things - "Go f*ck yourself" 😀

Id be careful if i were you guys, the secret service could get wiretaps put on you leagally by what you said prince, seriously. Liberal or not, i dont want to see any ATOT member "dissapear"

Wiretaps hell, they can monitor Internet messages in real time very easily. There is software out there right now making constant sweeps over every square inch of the Web for certain key words. At least, the capability is there. I suppose someone using these certain key words could be questioned by the Secret Service. Not sure if they're to the point of disappearing people yet. 😀

Edit, oh yeah, Cheney. I suppose for a 'con, it would be exciting meeting the virtual leader of the movement. Probably give me the "willies". *shiver* Anyway, congrats. :Q

Edit 2: Speeelling. I'll leave the bad grammar.

If they disappeared you wouldn't know it. :Q
