Why? After reading this thread and finding out who he is why would I know anything about a Hasidic Jew entertainer who performs religious based music? I am not Jewish so how would I have ever heard of him? Plus, you live in NJ which is basically a haven for Jews so it makes sense that everyone around you would know him.
Let's see, he was on Letterman, Kimmel, Carson Daly, every other damn show, he was in Rolling stone and every other music mag, his videos are on MTV and VH1, his Live at Stubbs album is selling like hotcakes and climbing the charts, it has nothing to do with where I live. The guy is big.

Youre right, i dont watch TV at all, thats why i miss most of the pop culture crap until i see it on the net from one of my friends or some douche 15 year old acts it out in line at the movie theater for me.
