OP, do you know what your credit score is? Have a lot of debt (student, car, personal loans)? Missed any payments?

A lot more goes into a credit score than the money you take home. At your age, you should be looking at your credit report at least once a year; if not every quarter.

You can't have my organs, TridenT is getting those to keep on ice for when he gets let go. That way he can sell them on the black market so he can pay rent still.

Maybe if one of you kind souls opens up your basement to him?? Then you can have them for whatever sick deeds you want.

Well now, I can open up my basement (don't have one but I'll make one for this). Though the last thing he'll think to call me will be 'kind soul'.... :p

Now since TridenT is likely running away quickly, about those organs again.....

Is the reason you don't have a basement because you're already living in one.....?????

OH SHIET SONNNNN!

PS that one came straight from Jesus, guy is a comedic master!! ... Don't get why anybody would want to crucify this dude.

Well no, though you need to tell him thanks from me, as that is an awesome idea! What's scarier.... umm... more interesting than living in a basement? Living in the basement of a basement! Much harder for me to hear TridenT scream.... err.... complain from there about his fruit loops.

It's not thread crapping if the thread is already maxed out on crap, which it is by default since TridenT started it.

With an $800 credit line, TridenT should really only be charging $80-120/month to keep his utilization within the acceptable range for good credit. This should help him save some serious dough.

Next month's TridenT britch thread: "I'm saving too money and seeing all those zeroes on my bank statement is damaging my optic nerve".

Just have him code you up a new app. Don't you know, he works for Google or something now.

He's the highest paid janitor on staff.

Even if he gets a Chase Amazon CC and just uses it at gas stations and pays it off, he's looking at a few bucks per month in Amazon credit. It adds up.

I work with someone who is in his 50s, he has never had a credit card before the one we gave him at work, he has paid cast for everything for 50 years. his house his car... all in cash

he has no credit history at all, which made getting a loan to buy a new house near impossible for him
Its hard for me to comprehend. But I realize there are still people out there who have next to no experience with banks.

Silicon Valley doesn't look so bad by this list. I live in St. George, Ut. I love it here. The rich people that own second/third homes here are fudging with this studies math.

There's only one reason that Midland is on that list, and I'd wager that it's no longer there if statistics were pulled for 2016.

I applied for my first credit card about 3 years ago when I had no credit history. I was denied for Chase Freedom but accepted for a Discover It with a $500 limit. I've requested a few credit limit increases to make it easier to keep utilization low without paying it off every week and now have a ~$5000 limit. I applied for the Citi Freedom a few weeks ago and was insta-approved with a $4600 credit limit. I still don't have house/car/student loan/etc payments on my history so everytime I check my credit score it still says too few accounts payed as agreed which sounds ominous but it's not (except to CC/loan agencies maybe).

I looked into those secured cards when I was first getting a CC but dismissed it because it is quite literally the stupidest thing I've head of.

I got my first CC when I turned 18, I wanted it because I could pay for my web hosting myself instead of always borrowing my mom's. I can't remember what the limit was, think it was like $500 but I do recall it being in the several thousand fairly quickly. I would just always accept the offers to increase it. Figured there's nothing wrong with it, does not mean you have to use it. By the time it came to moving out, at around 23, I was able to get a mortgage with no co-signer.

I'll make about 300k this year. 9.6k limit on two cards. Those were automatic increases, I haven't updated my income since I was making like 40k a few years ago. Credit score 820. That debt though, 400k between student loans and car. Once the student loans are paid off life is going to be good. Hopefully I live that long.
