Of course, if you don't want our entertainment industry, you're free to make your own movies and watch them. Personally most of the movies I watch and buy were made in Japan and I have no problem with that. If you only want one race, do a search on "Concentration Camps" and "Apartheid", some really pretty pictures will come up. Wooden houses DO have advantages over bricks due to the benifit of added insulation and ease of building which reduces the outlay required to move into a house. And although our health care system isn't the best, it's by far not the worst. And last I checked, the Serbians and the Isralis were being slaughtered by thier neighbors, not us. The US doesn't like war, but we just happen to be very good at it. We are in general very concious of the military power and realize what our actions mean. Unlike smaller countries we do not see an unlimited war as an option. Civilians casualties are something that we DO NOT look forward to.

Check the history of Russia, China, Germany, England, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Egypt, and France sometime. They're not exactly rosy themselves.

If you want I can do a search on your country and find some things to gripe about, but I perfer to accept that noone's perfect and almost everyone has something good about them.

You did good, except for the health care system. It is the best, bar none. Many more people come here from other countries for operations and such than vice versa. Try living in Canada, yeah the operation is free, but you have to wait a year to get it.

Yes, I don't like the third party payee system, but that was something thrown on us by government regulation. Get rid of it, make it competitive again and you will see health care costs plummet, IMHO.

Gomce -- You left out one of our greatest strengths. Small minded fig puckers like you are free to open their mouths wide enough to insert both feet. I have to admit, that's an amazing stunt when your head is so far up your ass.

The name shown in your profile is B. Dimitrievski, which sounds Russian. Your city is listed as Skopje, which I believe is the capital of The Republic of Macedonia, a Southeast European country, north of Greece and west of Bulgaria. I am sure there are plenty of great, or at least interesting aspects to your history, but if you want to get into negativity, hostility, and just plain stupidity, do you really think your history is any more illustrious than ours? :|

Actually I think it originated as a competative benefit offered by large companies to lure employees back in the 1940's. It was not until the 1960's (I may be too early with this date) that it became an entitlement mandated by government.

It's much worse than you can possibly imagine. You haven't even scratched the surface. Once I gave up trying to pretend I live in a great country, because I was confusing who I am with what I am, I got sufficient separation and objectivity to see. I used to think that if there was something wrong with my country, there was something wrong with me and also that if there was something wrong with me that I was bad. Well I didn't want to be bad, or really to feel bad, so I was very very defensive about my country. But that turned out to be silly. There's lots wrong with me, but it doesn't make me bad. There is no escape from the conditioning the world lays on you. No matter who you are you wind up feeling bad and whatever nationality race creed club or religion you are, as long as you us it as a source of your identity, you will have the robotic need to defend that thing.

But I do know that I am an American, that I was educated here, that everything I know I found here even if it came from some place else. I learned to think here, to analyze here, to question here, and to find some deeper thing inside of me here. I had the education, the security, the food, water, and air, the intellectual stimulation, a liberal tradition, a philosophical tradition and an educational system without which I probably would never have gotten to first base. So while I can see that my country is nuts, I put it in perspective. It's nuts everywhere. I'm here, I'm an American, a citizen of the USA, and the sun is shining right now in my very own back yard. It's a beautiful day especially so because I am a nobody. I love America. And I love it especially because I don't have to pretend it is what it isn't or isn't what it is.

All this post needed to be perfect is "America the Beautiful" playing in the background! 😉

*Edit - Son of a...... I wasted my 4000th post on this...grrrrr.

Wow never thought I would say this but that is a real nice post Moonbeam.

Gomce, what's your point? I have seen many people on this board trying to spread similar stuff. They didn't succeed. I can recall quite a few names, but I better not post them in their memory. Just relax, take a deep breath. Life is fantastic, isn't it?

don't forget how america screwed over East Timor also
So it's our responsibility to protect every tribe of primates who act like they recently climbed down from the Forest Canopy and learned to walk upright from exterminating each other?

Speaking of which, how are things in Macedonia Gomce? Are you blood thirsty Knuckle Draggers still slaughtering each other like there is no tomorrow?

I am not saying my country is nice or something, let along communist countries like Russia or China or others where monarchy rules and kids tagged as hackers are being lynched in stadiums.

My point is the flag under the American agencies accomplish the goals. That isn't nice.

Hitler for instance wanted to conquer the world and he said so loud and clear, he is now burning in hell for that and gets a** f*cked by satan, but at least he was sincere.

Americans do a lot of nasty things hiding in that righteous flag of justice. The high-end agencies place that sh!t, and American people accept.

This fight against terrorism don't you think is kinda weird scenario?

I am going to get a little off topic and ask: What benefit did Bin Laden had from the 11 September? mmm nothing ? of course, that mother f*ckers works for the US, US bombed it's own people in order to begin the big campaign against the east, why ? > for the oil.

Fuck it, that's the hypocrisy of democracy and today's life.

Btw 😛) it's a nice day...I am smiley, I don't feel hate or something albeit my sarcasm, nor I am jealous in any way, just you know, from everything in life I mostly value sincerity.

Ok, I respect the ultimate nature's law, the law that strongest will survive on account of weak, and of course you always have righteous cause, that's the most important reason why I love you

2. You have healthy economy, you are rich people, you are so immersed into the system that if you loose your daily job and you don't earn anything the state will literary swallow you up: Taxes, debts which rise as hell and you can't hide and then you parade on the streets wearing Solaris t-shirts 🙂

3. You live in wooden houses, hell, the three pigs story really works in your state 😛, pity me that I live in solid brick house with real roof

4. You have gazillion different races/nationalities...yep, this one is especially good, you can mix with folks, learn different things, catch several types of HIV and gene/bloodgroup specific disease, play GTA3 on the streets and shoot gang members 😛) really nice.

5. You have Hollywood, best advertising company of your country ever!

6. You are source of the mainstream and you can brag about it as hell, who gives a fck about the little yellow people on east that invent everything 😛 you are the man!

😛 I (heart) USA!

At first I thought you were mildly entertaining in the way that it is entertaining to watch the stupid animal at the zoo try to figure out how to eat, then your true ignorance shone through. Your over simplifications, and hasty generalizations show that you lack the ability to draw informed decisions on your own and instead must rely on what others have said. As such, I leave you with a bit of advice: Be careful what you read, it is clear that you are going to take what you read to heart, so I urge you to steer clear of sensationalistic yellow journalism, I would hate for you to spend you lifes savings on Alien abduction insurance from Lloyds of London.

The conflict that was in here is ended now, but it was staged by the government. It was regional conflict in an remote border area, a terrorist party was shooting blank shots and the media blew it out of hand,

now the terrorists are going to enter the parlament with help of US 😛) Oh, yeah, the terrorists were working and were supplied by BinLaden...so don't hate him 🙂 he is your pal, infact your country helped his men to enter our parlament

Also 😛 things like marriage counseling, group AA courses, traveling 1 hour to work, taxes as hell...mmm not my thing

Also I forgot this: Medical insurance/bills 😛 this is a goddamn joke, god forbid for a person to get sick there... you may be rich but you are like cells (matrix movie) which if get dysfunctional and not serve the general purpose of strengthening the WAR economy, get nicely worked from behind.

I have seen many people in these forums scared as hell from medical bills 🙂

You folks are living on the edge
I have a 5 year old neice that delivers more well thought out arguments than you. Have you ever BEEN to America? Do you understand that just because in the movie John Q he couldn't get the money for his kid, this isn't how it works in America? I'm sure next you will be accusing the government of killing anyone who speakes against it (sedition) of course if you could formulate a good argument you would quickly see that this is not done in America, rather it is a tactic used by those "little yellow people in the east" (think tienamen, if you don't know what that is, look it up, preferably from a source like an encyclopedia, not www.communism>capitalism.com ok?)

The key values of our country are ideals like free speech, personal freedoms, etc, it is our belief that democratic systems 1 person, 1 vote allow for a bloodless revolution @ the voting booths every few years.

I don't think any of us are proud of the activities of the NSA or the CIA or any number of agencies that work in foreign countries, but the fact is that democracy does work and that's what we're trying to promote.

We had nothing to gain by flying our own jetliners into our own best & brightest, it has crippled our economy, and the terrorist acts in the US couldn't have happened in a country with fewer freedoms.

I personally work in the healthcare industry & agree things need to change, but our system effectively (& without specifically calling it that) rations health care, & that's what happens in other countries too.

What do you feel is an appropriate punsihment for our many sins?

Judging from this I think he is saying he can use our country like a 2 bit hooker for his own ends then go back and screw over his own people.

Could you elaborate on this?

Americans do a lot of nasty things hiding in that righteous flag of justice. The high-end agencies place that sh!t, and American people accept.
Could you name some examples?

No, why do you think it is?
