I love 80's music. Don't you?

Not a big fan of the 80s, though some of it was good.
I think the majority of musicians forgot how to play instruments in the 80s.

:music:
You and I in a little toy shop
buy a bag of balloons with the money we've got
Set them free at the break of dawn
'Til one by one, they were gone
Back at base, bugs in the software
Flash the message, "Something's out there"
Floating in the summer sky
99 red balloons go by.

99 red balloons floating in the summer sky
Panic bells, it's red alert
There's something here from somewhere else
The war machine springs to life
Opens up one eager eye
Focusing it on the sky
Where 99 red balloons go by.

99 Decision Street, 99 ministers meet
To worry, worry, super-scurry
Call the troops out in a hurry
This is what we've waited for
This is it boys, this is war
The president is on the line
As 99 red balloons go by.

99 Knights of the air
ride super-high-tech jet fighters
Everyone's a Silverhero
Everyone's a Captain Kirk
With orders to identify
To clarify and classify
Scramble in the summer sky
As 99 red balloons go by.

99 dreams I have had
In every one a red balloon
It's all over and I'm standin' pretty
In this dust that was a city
If I could find a souvenier
Just to prove the world was here...
And here is a red balloon
I think of you and let it go.

:music:Feel the city breakin' and everybody shakin',

Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

I love 60's music. 🙂

Oh, and 70's music.

Er, yeah, 80's music also.

Oops, almost missed 90's music. Love that, too.

Still, there's some great music being produced this decade. 😉

Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors to name a few.

Most of them were late 60's into the 70's, though.

I like so many decades:

60's - rock, motown

70's - disco, rock, metal, motown

80's - rock, metal

90's - dance, rock, metal, electronica, rap

70s had the best music, despite the fact that all of the bands you listed for the 70s were mere "OK". You forgot to include Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and many of the best rock bands that have ever existed (and will) that had their peak in the 70s.

Thank you. 70s music was some of the greatest ever.

Love the 80's glam/hair metal! The only show on the radio I actually try to catch is Dee Snyder's House of Hair each week.
