Who gives a crap about numbers, really? You can either spend your day staring at tiny numbers on the engine and make sure it matches the number on the body, or you can spend your day tearing down the street with 500 horsepower.
If you want your car to be worth anything and not depreciate like mad, then you'll care about numbers. Speaking in terms of collectors cars.

Most cars are worthless anyway. What's the difference between spending $20k on this Mustang as opposed to spending $20k to create an "original" one? Different strokes for different folks. I'd rather drive this monster than a "real" one.
Do you know how much an original Shelby GT350 is worth now? Especially after the movie, their value shot up a lot. There was an article in the paper about duplicate GT350's being made in a shop in Dallas. The clones went for $80,000 each. They're not even originals either. A GT350 in original form is not "worthless"

"The movie" is Gone in 60 Seconds, yes? Wasn't it GT500s in that movie?

IIRC, the movie claimed it was a '68 GT500, when infact it was a modded '67 fastback with a GT500 body kit.

I just got 0wn3dYea it was, I always get my stupid numbers mixed up.
That's all good and well, but some people really care about protecting their investment. Fact is, a clean original will bring in way more money than a cleanly "updated" GT350I'd rather drive this monster than a "real" one.

First off, there are no FBody Mustangs. Second, aren't you the guy who dropped some Nissan engine into a lame 200sx? Yea ok, you're the ricer buddy.
