That's all good and well, but some people really care about protecting their investment. Fact is, a clean original will bring in way more money than a cleanly "updated" GT350

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that this is NOT an updated Shelby, and that the body panels and paint job are as custom as the rest of the car. It's even got a custom frame. This is a ground-up job. Nobody took a real Shelby and did this to, it is a frankenmobile that is a modern Cobra in an old Shelby-looking body.

The first group has fun driving/showing/modifying/racing thier cars, and the second group has fun letting the car sit in a temperature controlled garage all the time.
Not always the case, just because you just need to pay attention to the car a little more and give it more TLC than a beater/commuter car doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. Like if you ever got your hands on something rare, like a Cobra R, would you run the thing into the ground and beat on it for fun? Or would you balance out fun and make sure the car will be worth something since it's a collectors item? Someitmes being a collectors item means you enjoy it in different ways.
