I bet that manager has a lot better handle on the store's receipts and the split between PC and console sales than you do, o wise one.
Im going to have to agree with this.

When I think about it I can't honestly remember the last time I saw an ad on television for a PC game that was only found on the PC platform, I honestly can't.

Getting upset about this is a waste of time. Just stop going there, Install Steam instead.

Since CompUSA closed, no one seems to have a decent selection of PC games anymore. I just go to Amazon also, usually pick up used games there for like $10-20 shipped. Only problem is that I don't hear about new releases much anymore and have missed getting some good ones until long after launch (just got The Witcher recently from Amazon, hadn't even heard of it until the noise about the enhanced edition release).
Anyone know where to see news on upcoming releases in PC games?

Could you imagine the difference someone would see with Crysis sitting there in a rolling demo waiting to be played compared to Gears of War or Halo 3? Show the Games for Windows rating required to play the game with it sitting near the Kiosk and there you go. Nice and easy for users to figure it out.

My solution to GameStop is to never shop there. You can always get better deals on used games (and even new games) online and GameStop really screws you over on trade-ins. They are making a killing on the used games that they sell. Buying a used game for $20 and then selling it for $44.99 is huge. Way more than they would ever get on a new title. And I dislike them because of the way they present PC games in most stores. The PC games section looks like crap - most of the boxes are ratty and worn looking and all have been opened with the content removed and they are being sold as "new" games. At least that's how it is at the GameStop stores in San Diego.

On the contrary, if he had any management skills, he wouldn't be managing a GameStop.Originally posted by: BoberFett

Dang beat me to it. A manager at Game Stop means he's probably a senior in high school and has been there longer than most. Game Stop is slightly above fast food on the retail later.

World of Warcraft. You know, the TV commercials with Mr T and Captain Kirk... Even after almost a full year since first aired, I still see them. A lot.
Not a fan of month subscriptions. Just saying.

Being a manager at a fast food place is very difficult, I have a neighbor who runs a McDonalds and makes around $65,000 a year. If it wasn't a hard job they wouldn't make close to that much and anyone could do it. I know $65k is peanuts for the typical millionaire dude on AT. But running a GameStop is nothing close to running a fast food place.

Congrats on being part of the problem that you just bitched about to the GS manager. Gamestop makes a large chunk of their money on used console games. This affects many of their decisions with how the place is run.

Its because I am put in a position to buy online because local retailers do not stock nor support, for the most part, advertising PC games in store. I would rather buy a PC game in a store instead of waiting for shipping. But they just dont carry new releases on release day if ever. And if by some miracle that they do have a PC game on launch day, it's usually for preordered customers only.
