I don't know why, but I always thought temperatures in "C" was Centigrade instead of Celsius.

113F or 45C, with humidity it feels like 121F or 49.44C. Peak temperature will arrive around 5PM Central time.

The last time I checked, 45C is what my CPU spikes up to when I stress it.

I just noticed that the UV index is at 11, therefore your skin will burn with only 10 minutes of exposure without sunscreen.

Where are you at? I'm in Grand Prairie and it is 108, feels like 112 with UV at 6. According to TWC app anyway. Either way it looks like this weekend is getting worse in DFW. My poor pile-o-crap A/C is only able to maintain 83 in my house right now.

Real question - is it just me or has this summer been *REALLY* hot? Like starting in the 2nd week of May we started flirting with 90 degree days in Central, KY and haven't stopped since then. I swear there were more 90 degree days in May than there was the last two or three summers. But it has just been unrelenting heat since mid Spring with very little reprieve since then.

OMG, Kentucky really, really stinks in hot weather too. Downtown Lexington at 90F+ is like living in a urinal that never gets washed.

Having been in NYC in 100+ degrees and living the farming areas of the Midwest that use pig shit spray fertilizer....Lexington smells like...well nothing which is fine.

Oh - also Cedar Rapids, IA I worked there for years. City of 5 smells. ADM, General Mills, Purina, Quaker and a chemical plant. Oh the nose searing scent of Crunchberries and Fermented corn in the morning.

Summer here in MD hasn't been too bad, and it's followed that pattern the last few years. We get a bit of really obnoxious heat, but then it's over with. Problem is it lingers into fall longer than it used to, and winters are warmer.

What kills me is the statement that says "Today is forecast to be COOLER than yesterday." It isn't even 1 pm and it has exceeded the forecast temperature.

Yeah it's WAY hotter than normal here this year. Pretty sure we are breaking records. Weather Network site used to show record temps on the side but seems it's gone now. Would be interesting to see how many days in a row we've been beating records. But just the idea of having more than a week straight of 30's is a record of it's own. So far the whole month of July has been intense heat.

TBH it's getting kind of old. I have outdoor projects I want to do but it's just way too hot to work in that. We got a couple break days while I was working but that's pretty much it. They reissued a heat warning again today.

I just noticed that the UV index is at 11, therefore your skin will burn with only 10 minutes of exposure without sunscreen.

That's insane, would probably be like 2 minutes for me.

In the middle of this heat along comes an inch of rain and hail. It hailed for a good fifteen minutes.

The rain and hail brought out the desert sapos (toads) from their mud sealed burrows where they spend more than eleven months of the year. They will breed, lay eggs, hatch, grow from tadpoles to toads, and go into their burrows in less than three weeks.
