I just watched requiem for a dream

I really liked the director's cinematography in that one, especially the cut scenes where they did cocaine. When I watched Pi I was like, those scenes look awfully familiar, then I found out the same director did both. It's not often you see directors with such distinct styles like that.

About the arm, i don't quite get it, what was wrong with it? Did he get some flesh eating infection through needle use?

About the arm, i don't quite get it, what was wrong with it? Did he get some flesh eating infection through needle use?

Did you watch the whole movie?!?! :Q It's right at the end, they cut his arm off! Blood sprayed on his face! His arm got gangrene or something from an infected needle.

Requiem is one of the most powerful movies you'll find. I just sat staring at the TV for awhile afterwards and decided I needed to own it.

The DVD menu system system is my favorite too.

It doesn't "feel that good," it's a friggen addiction meaning your body ends up needing it or you get really sick withdrawal symptoms. If you watch it it does show one of them in withdrawal, doesn't it? It's in the end when Shawn or Marlon Waynes is in prison. He goes through withdrawals which really sucks, big time.

It's not porn (well, maybe that section at the end, if you have the director's cut). Watch it with whoever you think has the stomach for it. I don't watch movies by myself, half the fun is watching it with other people.

yah but if you do something and then get really sick from it even if you have the "more" craving you don't want to do it cuz you know how sick you get.

i've heard first hand accounts of herion use and while most of it scares the crap out of me because of statements like ".. its like dying and being in heaven" and when i ask if i can try they tell me that they will never tell me where to get it because "its so good that the worst part is that even if you could stop, you don't want to"

i know im not actually going to try it because i know that nobody will let me and i know that its the absolute stupidest thing ive ever wanted to do but i am just so curious to see what is so good about it.
