OMG! I HATE THIS DAMN MOVIE!
It just ruined my day, it's so depressing.
I have never actually thought about doing drugs before watching this movie, just wanted to see Jennifer Connelly, but boy did I get more than what i bargained for.
This movie is definately the most powerful anti-drug medium out there, because it just smacks the cold hard facts in your face. And the truth always hurts. Unfortunately the movie rating agency is stupid enough to give it a NC-17 rating, limiting its potential impact.
Now I'm going to force all my friends to watch it.

So then you actually really liked it didn't you?

It's a great movie.. especially because it has such a dark ending. One of those movies that stick with you after it is over.

Best movie I have ever seen in my life. Not my favorite, but definently the best.

Good thing you didn't watch it at night... NO sleep for you!

awesome movie! :D...very excellent portrayal of how addiction can run and ruin your life, and not just drug addiction...any kind of addiction where you'd go to endless bounds to satisfy it, even if it means detrimental effects to yourself and/or others...

that movie made me want to try heroin.

i can't even imagine how good it must feel if people screw up their lives like that for it.

No much happens in the first 10 minutes... it isn't until about the half hour mark that things pick up.

It's extremely powerful, and i still love it even though watching it often makes me depressed.

I had a really hard time watching the movie, especially toward the end, the movie seemed to go on forever, I got to the point where I just wanted the movie to end. And I was such a pussy that I had to fast forward through some graphic scences.

I think they should show that movie to all fifth graders instead of doing DARE. Kids who are gonna fsck up their lives with drugs will do it anyway, and the others will be scared so sh!tless that they will at least think twice before trying any drugs :)

That movie is visually stunning. When the main character's mom is trying to communicate to the people towards the end (I'm being vague on purpose so as not to spoil) I wanted to get into my TV and help her out so bad. It. was. so. not. fair. I knew *exactly* what she was trying to say. I wanted to shake those guys and NO NO SHE"S NOT CRAZY. SHE'S NOT. SHE'S TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING. Nooooooooooo. They would have done to me as they did to her, I think.

Powerfuly, good movie. Mature audience only. I thought at least one scene was too graphic. You'll know the one.

You're right! It should've definitely been PG-13.
