Seriously, are you completely unable to post non-d*****bag, elitist comments? How was the marble countertop in any way relevant other than to brag?

that 10$k per month for a fairly comfortable lifestyle isn't just gonna spend itself!

You deny it, but your posting history is a dead ringer for Alky's.

no, alky needed 10$k per month plus another few grand for the M3 and related accessories and expenses

I spent $8 on a trashcan with push button lid and $400 on a vacuum. I prefer to spend more on cleaning products than products which hold cleaning product debris.

... and Safeway needs $10k just to avoid food stamps.

Apparently you didn't read all of my posts in that thread. The $10k was a hypothetical amount of money used to discuss the fact that what many view as a substantial amount of money really doesn't go as far as you'd think it would for many new families. Graduate and professional programs cause the incurrence of substantial student loan debt, housing is rapidly bubbling again, child care costs are not inconsequential, etc.

I am unnecessarily aggressive and/or condescending in some of my posts, but not >50%. It's usually in jest, but occasionally not. Fuck that guy who lacks any semblance of personal and financial responsibility.

A lot of people discuss their situation, it's what they know. "I can only afford ramen." or "I drive a 25 year old shit can of an automobile." Would these be "dropping hints" of poverty? I'm not one to bite my tongue.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning–Kruger_effect. Very funny. But it can't possibly apply to me because I am not unskilled, and my superiority is not illusory 😉.

In all seriousness, I readily recognize my inadequacies and deficiencies. That's why I often work with outside litigation counsel, hire consulting experts to analyze our infringement contentions, and so on. There is always someone out there who is smarter, richer, faster, whatever.

I have the 38L one, it is pretty nice. I like the quality of the trash bags too, they don't break on me. I think it was like 130 when I bought it.
