I just performed a DIY scaling on my dog's teeth.

It also does not dirty the teeth as much as wet food would, I think that was the vet's reasoning.

That's a layman not a Veterinarian.

Fortunately most pets don't live long enough for gum disease unless fed a piss poor diet to begin with.

Unfortunately that proper diet is getting out of hand for most people. I am trying to fix that problem.

Some dog breeds are prone to gum disease/rotted teeth due to lower levels of saliva, which increasing buildup dramatically over time, frequently leading to rotted teeth if they're not cleaned regularly. One of ours is a tiny bichon/toy poodle and she has to have her teeth cleaned every few years or they will rot (and we will die from her stinky breath.)

oh brother... That white stuffed animal looking dog marketed for a young girl up there...

Only the most feminine of people would own a dog like that.

So sad...

Napoleon complex much? Dogs can be great regardless of size. Not that you're reply deserves the respect of a reply, but fwiw a very feminine person does own that dog, douchebag. Unfortunately tho, this fact may make you think I agree, and that you're not actually a douchebag, but let's be clear that's not the case.

wtf, there's an ignore list? Does it completely make the offender invisible?

No, unfortunately not. :\ People often quote those idiots, and then you end up reading their inane drivel anyway. Still, it does cut down on some of the stupid shit.

Beware of small dogs, they will chase away 3 80 pound labs, at the same time. I've seen it. :awe:

Very true. Being size-blind has its advantages and more often than not works, even tho when it doesn't work it will sometimes lead to death.

She's always been the best guard dog with the most attentive ears in the house. When she hears something in the middle of the night she tears fearlessly to the front door with her shrill spastic barking to ward it off. Meanwhile, the big dogs are like, 'Meh, kiki's got it.......zzzzzzzzzzzzz'. :D
