My blood pressure got up to 165/89. That's really high. Can our blood pressures spike to that every once in a while for a few minutes with no problems?

I could feel my heart racing and I got a really bad headache while I was fixing the problem because I had about 100 people around me and then afterwards I went outside to my car, got my blood pressure machine, and took it.

Look up the definition of hypochondria. Hypochondria is the "morbid concern about one's health, especially when accompanied by delusions of physical ailments/disease".Originally posted by: mjuszczak
I'm not a hypochondriac. Hypochondriacs make up problems. I have an actual issue with my blood pressure. How is that a hypochondriac?

No he's just ATOT's resident hypochondriac.

Im sorry I just had to chuckle inside because if you think thats high, try mine (190-180/120-100) and the stress that keeps me there even on pills to bring it down. I been running this for years. Your bp is really just little over the norm 120/80, IM sure easily controllable with pills or just diet change.
Id kill for your BP and the little stress you have.

Well my blood pressure is USUALLY 136/80 on medicatin (one tiny pill a day, I used to be on more but I lost 100 pounds).
What I'm asking now mainly is.... when I was majorly stressed, it jumped up to 170/90... is this OK to happen every once in a while
