Emulators are easy to come by

If Konami goes back to the arcade code for this port...we'll really be in for a treat. I'm expecting it to be better than the NES version.

I'm also hoping they port the Arcade version of TNMT. I LOVED that game in the Arcade.

Who knows. First party titles will definitely be available in the Virtual Console, but third-party games are up to their publishers since Nintendo doesn't own them.

They had Contra running on Live Arcade back in May at the Roosevelt Hotel, pre-E3. This isn't really news.

As stated above, select was for 2 players, and start was not part of the code, it was just to get past the title screen faster.
