Well...the main thing I'm worried about is that its not as described on the page. The thing looks like a beat up POS, and he said that it was in Like New condtion.

From the auction description he said it was the silver series with gold endcaps, which he even now says is not true. Scumbucket.

you have plenty of recourses. don't worry. make sure you print out the original auction page before it expires and disappears from ebay in a month or whenever.

supposed to be the older silver and gold series

the amp was painted by a friend b/c it was originally the dull
gray w/ the dark grey end caps and i preferred the gold endcaps and the
aluminum color paint b/c my car was the champagne color it matched nicely when the trunk was open

Yeah, right. His "friend" just happened to paint it the same colors as the more expensive amp. What a coincidence.

He's full of it. That is fraud.

Thanks for the advice...I'd probobly get screwed if I hadnt printed em out...He seems to be responding to his e-mail quickly so if I dont get a response about filing fraud charges that means hes going into hiding :Q

Ok, got a reply:

The amp is in PERFECT working condition w/ practically no use on it, which
would definitely qualify the electronics as like new, and like new is
definitional. If you were curious more as to the amp's cosmetic appearance,
inquires should have been made prior to completion of the transaction and i
could have sent you pictures. You may go ahead now and file what you please.
But what you have is a like new amp that you paid for according to the
auction, and the fact is u got a great deal, they had a retail price of over
800 dollars for these amps.

I just filed the case with SquareTrade to try and get it resolved...If this doesnt work I'll have to file fraud reports etc.

I hate to see that this happened, but I'll say it again: If it's on Ebay and doesn't have a ton of pictures to show what it is, then I'd be hard pressed to bid on the damned thing. You can never ask too many questions.

Have you actually taken it to a stereo place to get it tested though to see if it actually has the right wattage and is in crappy shape or if he really ripped you off in a deeper sense.

I'd follow the above advice as well...get it tested out to see if it's the right wattage. If it is, then you still can file fraud, as he stated it was a silver MODEL, not a silver PAINTED amp (big difference). But if the wattage does not at least equal 834 (or whatever he said), then it'll add even more weight to your case.
