WW, you dont know me, but I've quite a bit on what has happened to you. I was really surpised to see you posting here after not frequenting AT for the last 3 weeks or so during my move to another city. Im glad you came back. What they did was pure crap-and inexcusable. So please accept my apologies for those atheists and agnositics, as well as those of other religions who are intolerant, who cannot respect those who are religious ,just as they themselves cannot tolerate or do not believe in religion.
Apparently any expression of faith is taken by some people as an affront.
Thats not what im saying. Walking up to a random person and asking if they have saved themselves, or calling them a sinner, whatever-its NOT appropriate in my view. It DOES make my upset. It doesnt make me a pussy, or a chickensh*t-or whatever russ wants to call me. I can tolerate religious groups standing on the corner passing out leaflets...thats one thing, though it does irratate me slightly to inconvienence myself by either going out of my way or to spend time declining literature from (polite) people who are doing what their religion calls for-spreading the word.
Randomly asking someone in the parking lot is not the way to go about it. Calling someone a sinner, saying they will burn "IN THE LAKE OF FIIIIIIIREEEEEEEEE!" IS NOT APPROPRIATE. It didnt go that far in this case, but it happens every day on dozens of college campuses, not to mention other places of gathering.
Its my opinion, im entitled to it. I have made no personal attacks on a generalized group as broad as all christians.
