anyways, i think it's grape, because everything else grows on trees, but grapes grow on a vine

This was the exact reason that I chose grape. But coconut also looked like a reasonable answer.

I also had a problem with this problem:

"33. Which one of the designs is least like the other four? "

I think that the last answer (the scalene triangle) is correct since it is the only shape that lacks symmetry across two axes. But on the other hand the circle is quite a bit diferent in that it is the only shape that cant be drawn with a straight edge - it has an infinite number of sides, wheras the other 4 all have 3 or 4 sides.

This kind of test makes me lose a lot of respect for IQ tests in general.

"33. Which one of the designs is least like the other four? "

I picked the same one, all of the others axis were the same distnace away from the center (including circle's... circumference)

First, intelligence doesn't necessarily make you a good leader. Also, intelligence doesn't mean you have good social skills. Third, intelligence doesn't mean you can convince one of the two parties to nominate you as their presidential candidate.

What percent of the population is comfortable working with computers? What percent of those read tech articles regularly on a computer site? What percentage of that post on the forums and is interested in taking IQ exams? Obviously, your data is going to yield unbelieveable results if your sample is not randomly selected. You might as well complain that everyone in mensa can't have above average IQ.

all people taking offense to SuperCyrix's quote, he's just joking around, no need to analyze how smart or dumb presidents need to be

That's not the first time I've heard someone say something to that extent on ATOT (how can so many ppl on ATOT get high IQ scores!? they must be lying!), so I thought I would finally post a reply to it.

I chose option C for that one (I think it was that)... all the shapes had a combination of large object and small object except for that, which was small object and small object.

But it's a poor question when you can justify more than one correct answer depending upon your point of view. Of course, it also depends on how the answers are judged; whether there's one right answer and three wrong ones, or a weighted percentage, or two different but equally right answers (the answer you choose helps to determine the type(s) of intelligence you possess..)

what an awesome test, I did 95 with simply clicking some answers. And what does knowing a saying has to do with your intelligence?

142 on the emode 'ultimate' test.

The thing to remember on the 'which one of these doesn't belong' is to pick the -most- obvious answer. There may be 20 different ways to separate the categories, but you need to select the most common as others would see it. For example, the animals: I think it was deer, horse, kangaroo, cow, & donkey. Of the five, four were four-legged hoofed animals. The fifth is the kangaroo. Now, you could look at 100 possible combinations from native countries to number of offspring per pregancy to size of their ears. But the -most obvious- answer is that only one walks upright, the other have four hooves planted firmly on the ground. So Mr. Roo is the odd man out.

ROFL. Owned.

I posted from memory an article that appeared in the papers at the beginning of the Bush's theft of the election stating that Clinton was twice as smart as Bush. I then went on to add that this seemed quite doubtful to me because the difference is obviously substantially greater than twice. Then Viper provides the proof. The story, it appears, was in fact incorrect and a phony. My judgment is vindicated.

tcsenter, you know you're stupid when apologists have to invent reasons to claim you aren't and then offer the beauty of your left big toe as the real proof of your presidential capacity.

I seem to recall several people coming to your defense on these boards after another accused you of sheer idiocy, so you really may have a point there.

No tcsenter, that was a different phenomenon. I once made the mistake of complementing the intelligence of a genius friend of mine in a crowd of our co-workers. He turned on me and started to get angry. He then said well you can say that, but how can people without any know who is intelligent, he asked looking around. Obviously 'my defenders' have a capacity to see something you cannot. 😀 Not to worry though, if the wise men are wise, I will gladly be called an idiot.

Wow, you do flap excessively at the gums. Many, many, words, little substance, kimosabi.

If you want a bunch of these sorts of problems, get an LSAT prep book. Reading comprehension and logic games. Let me tell you, it's not so fun when you have to do it to get into a GD school 🙂

126, not bad for just breezing through. 🙂

Our analyses indicate that your Intellectual Type is: Precision Processor. This means that among other things, you have superior skill in mathematics.

Oh and by the way, I'm not Einstein when it comes to math! Only math class I ever did good in was Calc!

....you are a Visionary PhilosopherVisionary Philosophers love chocolate. 57% of them reach for it when a food craving strikes.
Wow. That little nugget of knowledge will really help me get through life.

A man found a huge gem in the street of the trinket sellers. Glass, glass, glass proclaimed all but the jeweler.
Of course, the jeweler would not say "glass", he would say 'cubic zirconia' or 'faux diamond'. Silly.

I intentionally picked the least correct of the answers just for kicks and got a whopping 72. But they still had something nice to say:
Inventive Inquisitors are meat eaters. 68% would order a steak for dinner.
Hee, hee. But they forgot to mention that we also like to swing clubs.

Yea, that's easy for you to say and easy for you to do. All YOU gotta do is ACT dumb.

It's a lot harder fer us pretending to be smart.

What about the "which animal is different" question? One choice was kangaroo, which is a marsupial, while all the others were mammals, and another choice was mule, which is a sterile hybrid, while all the others are fertile.

I wonder if in some cases there are not so much as right or wrong answers, but weighted answers.

kangaroo is the only one that stands on 2 legs

and marsupial is a mammal isn't it?

I like all of the wankers in here who post "I got 130+, but I have no idea what the scores mean" ... yeah, ok. If your IQ is really above 60, then you should at least have a general idea of what the scores mean!

Edit: oh yeah, I got a 280... is that any good?

I'm too tired to talk into my voice-synthesizing chair which types for me right now, perhaps tomorrow between breakfast, and contemplating the nature of the wavelike state of particles, and the sheer number of applications of understanding quarks, I shall post more.
