Can we get clarification as to WHY he's making threats to you, or at least why you think he is? Don't give us this "we had a history" crap either, 3 pages and still no back-story is a violation 'round these parts.

To add to that, I had to clean out a barn and I had two guys working with me, this guy was supposed to help but he didn't, he refused to listen to me because the big boss man wasn't there. So we just went out there and worked and for every 15 minutes he wasn't out there I gave him 1 hour of calisthenics (calisthenics were the standard punishment). One of the other dorm leaders distributed those to him. This was soon after he got there (within a couple weeks) so I think that set the stage for his hatred.

Another reason I think he hated me was because we were both from Washington, and apparently it was a big thing at the place to represent, yo. He didn't that I also "represented". Not that I gave a shit, I just wanted out of there.

I don't recall ever purposely provoking him, but I did tell him what to do since it was my job, which he didn't like.

I am a bit confused now if this isn't warranted in some way...both of you didn't want to be there is a given, yet you had the power to inflict punishment and dealt it easily and harshly. I am thinking this is payback and you now have to accept the bed you made.

If you can't back up something you do, don't do it and accept that punishment yourself.

Restraining order, document everything. Having a gun at home wouldn't be a bad idea, shotgun maybe? You can probably POSSESS a handgun at 20 in your state if you buy from a private seller. I bet you could keep it in your car too. That's not carry but it's a long ways from defenseless.

We were in an alternative for juvenile all, he was there by court order, I was there because my mother sent me.

I didn't deal out punishment a lot. I was in charge of giving the punishment out, but that was the job of all the rookie dorm leaders. I didn't give calisthenics any harsher than any of the other dorm leaders.

I bolded what i think is ridiculous. I was doing my job there, I wasn't extra mean to him or anything of that nature. I actually tried not to deal with him because I knew there were problems. Most of the time I would have another guy deal with him. Harsh punishment? It was a correctional facility, thats exactly what it was there for.

I didn't single this kid out, I just did my job.

I am documenting everything. A restraining order is a problem because I need to know where he would be so that it can actually be served to him.

I can't keep a gun at home because I'm living with my girlfriends family and her dad isn't a gun fan. However, when I move out it is on my list of purchases.

I can posses a handgun, I can have it in my car with me, I cannot carry it in anything but a handgun box/locker/zipper bag.

I am feeling since you keep bringing up your own mother abandoned you that it was vindictive. Regardless of what others were doing there (all were damaged in someway) you should have been the bigger person.

That's right, I was abandoned.

How should I have been a bigger person? I did the job that was handed to me, you had no options... well, I could have denied the leader position, but if you did that you become lowest on the totem pole - bad things happen.

I stated above that I usually had other people deal with him since I knew he had problems with me.
