Just called the State Troopers tonight and they confirmed that the moose was killed (I'm guessing it was shot) and the meat was donated to a local charity. I had a little hope that since it was up and walking around and didn't look bloody that it would make it.... guess not.

Those mooses are tough. Saw a video of some guy teasing a moose and the moose ran him down and stomped the crap out of this dude. Needless to say he's not making faces at mooses anymore...

I fvcked up my car pretty good with two elk, but even elk aren't in that league.

I'm quite thankful we don't have moose around here.

Just a guess, but I'd say you could add a good 2 feet on for antlers....

i've hit two deer - your very lucky you weren't hurt.

deer one caused $4000 damage to the front end of my vehicle

deer two "bounced" on the side and left a dirty smudge on the clear coat.

I guess you have never seen a moose fairly close up. They are huge! The biggest deer in the world. Bears leave the mature males alone.

Moose are frickin HUGE animals. I had no idea until I saw one from a distance on one of my hiking trips.

They weren't kidding when they posted this sign. Notice how the moose is bigger than the car? Yep.
