Thailand. As a 20 year old girl you'll have a blast and there are many other solo female travelers to meet up with. Many of my friends over there were afraid to travel alone until I convinced them it was an extremely safe country and they all had a great time. Tons of big parties with lots of young people and whatnot, and you could go on a real adventure if you got bored with all of the white people (northeastern Cambodia, northern Vietnam, etc.). Can't say the same for Europe or Australia where really it is a lot like America.

since you've never been outside the US, you may want to start off easy by going to Canada or UK (London is cool, Dublin is fun), most people in the EU speak English but signs can be tricky in counties that use different alphabets like Greece, Germany, Turkey, and former eastern block states.

You will have to use your Spanish skills though! Few speak English and if they do it's only small amounts. Just know it's going to be a somewhat different dialect. I don't really know the differences (don't speak it) but to me they speak a lot faster in normal conversations than those on the American continents.

Oh.. and don't listen to your parents They are overprotective when it comes to travel (this is a universal fact for women). Like you literally have to ignore any travel advice they give you.. you wouldn't believe what I've heard from girls and the advice they get from their parents on places. Useless.
