I have yet to taste a better pizza

After reading this post several times, I still can't decide if you're forreal or sarcastic.

srsly... the beer part rings true (though stupid) but i didnt know it was possible for anybody to think little caesars was the best pizza.

mmmmmmm

(About the only think produced in Berkeley I like)

meh. Zachary's is nothing special. I prefer Pie in the Sky (NY style). but Berkeley is known for shit loads of awesome food.

Breads of India kicks Zachary's ass all over creation. 😉

coming from alkemyst it's probably real. I can tell you that if I were visiting USA I would have absolutely NO interest in trying ANY pizza/fast food chain, because it's the same greasy shit we get in the rest of the world. But from what I hear, mum/pop pizza stores over there can be pretty win.

There's one on College near Rockridge BART, one on Solano, and a third has opened somewhere to the East of the tunnel.

I don't get the love for Zachary's. I suppose after living in Chicago for several years, you see Zachary's as more of the same old same old. blah. really makes one want a real NY style, which you can't find anywhere in Chicago, but you sure as shit can find some decent places in Berkeley.

I guess I just don't understand why people drive to Berkeley for Zachary's, when there are so many highly-regarded restaurants here. :\

On top of that they decide to run stop signs and go all PMS on you because you almost hit them.
(But I go off topic)

I still find the entitled pedestrians jumping out into the street and in front of your car much worse than the nazi bikers.

gah, this place is the worst for driving!

you don't get much in new zealand.

For the DC/Arlington folks, we all know that "The Italian Store" in Arlington makes pizza cocaine. Definitely the best pizza I have had.

All the time I've been living in Manassas I keep hearing about it.
Is such a pizza worth a little road trip this weekend?

YES!!!!

Though I would recommend calling them and ordering ahead of time. It does not matter what time you go there during the day - there are always at least 50 people in line ordering sammiches and other goodies. Wait can be up to an hour when it's really busy.

If I had to pick between Ray's Hell Burger and this after a 1+ hr drive, I'd go to Ray's.

Not a huge fan of Ray's. Good burgers, yes, but I was a little put off by the rushed atmosphere of it (oddly, I don't feel the same with the Italian Store). Also, I feel like burgers are something that no restaurant can equal when you bbq them at home.

Hmmmmm........

What if I wait until Monday? I dont have class until late at night.

There is a super good place locally to me, ma and pa only... The food is stellar, not just the pizza. Although the pizza is the best I've had in my town.. Delicious. It's called Muldoon's.

Joey's House of Pizza in Spring Hill is better. I am eagerly awaiting $1 slice night again.

Eh, if you order a couple of large pizzas, doesn't it come down to around that anyway?

Pizza is awesome. My favorite ones are at the joints in North End in Boston, but they're also about $30 each.

^ $30 for a pizza is starting to cross the line. You can make a high-quality large for $20. If not, then there is probably some foo-foo shit on there I dont want anyway.

Most are authentic Italian Restaurants that do it the traditional way. Considering Risotto costs about $25, a Pizza for $30 can be a deal at these places.

Mmmmmmmmmm Risotto.

We've got a Leonardo's pizza here too. Not sure if they are related, but I'm guessing it's just a common name for a pizza place. Anyway they are great but pretty expensive. Pizzas start near $20 for a large.

We got it here too. Its just regualar crappy pizza, like papa johns, pizza hut, dominos etc. I can't tell much of a difference from all those places.

My favorite is ohio style pizza... can't find any pics and dont live in ohio. Ohio also has some different kinds of Chinese foods which are pretty good.

Pic doesnt even load only can see the thumb.

I like Romeo's Pizza in Victoria and Bella Pizza in Vancouver.

Bella's ok, but it's a bit crusty for my liking. Their garlic chicken is pretty awesome though. I have it on occasion since there is one a block from my house.
