There are a lot of good urls that are just going to waste... people just holding on to them and not doing anything with them...

I too am a culprit... I have - abittoospicy.com - but I don't do sh*t with it either (but I doubt anyone would want abittoospicy! haha)... =)

I'm selling it for a low low price of $15,000...

But since you are an ATOT member, I'll let it go for $14,995!!!!

I have some domain names that some guys keep bugging me for all the time as well. I'm not actively using them for anything, but I want to hold on to them in case I do want to use them. If someone makes me a big offer, I'd consider it, otherwise, it's only $10 per year or so, why not hold on to it.

There's a domain that I've been wanting to snatch up, so in theory if I pounce on it right when it expires (if that person fails to renew right away) I can take the domain?

thanks guys, the 3 letter urls are popular.
if no big company has bought him put by now, I kind of doubt one will in the future.

Your logic is in error.

what? that some firm will probably not buy it now since one has not for so long?
or that ksm.net is taken?

I just have sour grapes cause I don't own that address.

yeah and I will appoint David Dukes to a position on the board of directors!

I thought that all the ksm urls mentioned above are taken, and they are. I was talking to some guy about buying ksm.org, but this biz is not non-profit. dot tv, us, org, us, net and com I can get on backorder (?)dot biz and mobi are not available at all (according to go daddy).

Not likely, the registrar will likely auction it out after install if its likely to have value.

There's also like a 30month dead period when only the last owner can renew it. I know GoDaddy does this.

Bah, domain parking. Should be illegal. Do something with it or lose it!

Yea, doubt you'll be able to scoop it out from under him since he'll have 30 days to renew after the expiration date, not to mention another like 45 days before it's deleted and available to the public. Plus some automated domain backorder service will probably have their hands on it before you too.

You bet.
Neal Schon lost his URL that way.
Oh, and due to the fact that he fired the biz manager that took care of that after I left.

In the time it's taken me to read all the dozens of posts below yours, I still haven't stopped laughing at this. Sorry man

Why? That's like telling a property owner to either lease it out or lose it. Maybe he bought it just because he wants it for himself?

Yes, the cost of entry is different, and so that will create a natural issue, but I'm not sure what can be said about that. It is a tough situation, no doubt.

Well, who wouldn't want to get a piece of that action?

Uh, financially speaking, of course. Yes, it's all about the Benjamins.

Yes but it is really easy to renew.
