Just voted with my wife this morning.. took like 50 minutes thanks to dumdums who didn't scan voting info barcodes on their phone.

50 minutes even though the line was only 8 people!

Scanners having lots of trouble.. had to scan mine in 8 times and 6 times for the 2 ballot pages.. wife had to deal with it 5 times on both.

Hoping it's just my location or there will be a lot of backlogs for people today!

Mailed in my ballot over a week ago.

Sadly have not been able to get my Mom to vote, despite it having a more significant direct impact on her the older she's gotten.

Voted straight Dem other than the positions with no party affiliations (but checked and voted against the nutjobs running for those positions) and county Sheriff, because it was between a Republican piece of shit and a Republican piece of shit that only ran as a Democrat so they could make the ballot (their defense "I don't think political party matters"). Oh and I think there was one unopposed Republican, I think he might be an incumbent and hasn't been a total shitbag so whatever.

A piece of shit running for county sheriff is a bit tautological, isn't it?

The circles have been filled!!!

This is a very small precinct, maybe a thousand people, if that. No real wait, but there was a steady stream of people before and after me. I don't recall ever seeing that in twenty plus years here. Mostly older people and some older and younger women.


This county will stay red, but it'll be interesting to see how many real Americans voted vs Russians.

I voted a few minutes ago. No line at all this year. The county added more booths at my polling place this year. Lack of booths had slowed things down in previous elections so election officials are paying attention. One year, voters had the option of sitting at classroom tables if they didn't care about privacy.

We've gone to a print on demand ballot system so voters can vote at any polling location, not just their home precinct. This system is really good for people who work away from home. I'm teleworking today so I could walk to the polls, very civilized.

There was a new citizen voting today. She got cheers from the election workers as she turned in her ballot.

As planned I voted in person, ignoring me reading the unusual amount of ballot proposals it took 3-6 minutes. Longer line at night vs the morning.
Only eventful items:
Guy infront of me had a MAGA like shirt on and I thought oh shit this could become ugly. He put his pullover on as we entered, thank god a respectful MAGA Guy.
Second as I was leaving two couples arguing over a parking space (I think). I said they’re causing disharmony and they should shut up and vote because someone maybe me will call the police. They shut up for at least the time it took them to go inside.

Long lines at closing time have left the Arizona polls still open forty minutes after they were supposed to close. In my county you can map poverty by the polling location wait times map.
