I would subscribe except that I still won't be able to get on from work and the connection between here and there sucks so it wouldn't help my speeds.
 
Is it me or did they purposely slow down the regular forums to entice people to subscribe?

Its like they added a 2 second delay timer for page loads because once the page loads it loads up nearly instantly.

Right now I consider the slowdown of the free service to be my cost-control system.
If it were faster, I'd spend more, so it balances nicely.

same here. The forums don't load from work. It's not that they are blocked either (I would know, I am the firewall admin).

what are you guys talking about the site being slow? It always loads up instantly for me (of course i don't use the forums.anandtech.com address, only the forums3.anandtech.com address cuz its always faster)...cable modem doesnt seem to hurt either🙂

Its a conspiracy... seriously though, i bet they just upgrade the subscriber ones now, these are the old p2's left over from way back ... 🙂

yeah ...if it gets too slow ill just leave 🙂 theres about a 100 other good forums out there you know..i mean there is a life without anandtech.
