It feels like my brain is being squeezed through a spaghetti machine and my eyesight of my left eye has gone to shit. Its always bad, but its 10x worse right now.

I had this a few months back, and it went away after a day or so.

:(

Eat a jello sandwich. It's a cure not many people know about for headaches.

Welcome to the world of migraines.

The eye issue is a sure symptom. My first migraine was in 8th grade, my eye had swirlies and then I couldn't see out of it. Then my arm went numb. The principal thought it was drugs, but the doc knew better. There are some meds out there, sometimes they work for some people and not others etc., and sometimes people can't get relief from either.

Fortunately I 'grew out of them', and the last one I had was about 12 years ago.

Be careful, my dad suffered through horrible migraines a couple years back and refused to go to the hospital.

When he finally did, they told him he was having a brain annuerism.

yeh, if you haven't yet, get on that.

you should take it on the first sign of a migraine though or you might be screwed now.

I had a very painful migraine a few years back. The only thing that worked was Excedrin for Migraine.

Feeling drunk from sleep deprivation (lesson: don't wake up at 2pm and expect to sleep at 2am for school the next day at 10am...), but no head ache. I can count on one hand the number of head aches I can remember, and I just took a tylenol (which did nothing).

As for the liter of expired milk I drank yesterday, let's hope I don't have any pains from a different orifice... Great, I still gotta try to finish one more bag (forgot we still had so much:().

"Worst headache of my life" is a pretty classic presentation of a brain aneurysm.

Could be a migraine, but still you might want to check that out.

Edit: After further review, it seems this is more accurately the classic presentation of a subarachnoid hemorrhage, which actually may be caused by an aneurysm.

I had an employer with chronic migranes. He used to lay on the floor and pull his hair A lot and make strange noises. He was a good friend, but that was really creepy. Go to the docs and seek help :)

The lose of eye sight indicates a migraine headache. I hope for you sake it never comes back, my wife and a few friends get migraines.

Get your eyesight checked recently? Poor vision combined with overuse of the eyeballs can cause headaches, too, as opposed to being a symptom of a migraine.

I had to quit taking NSAIDS because they were killing my stomach. Now I just hurt all the time.

My wife had migraines - the neurologist eventually prescribed Topamax, which has done wonders, but that's a daily medication. For reactive measures, excedrin works well, especially with some caffeinated soda.

Excedrin makes a pill for migraines... the only reason I know is because I have several friends who get SEVERE migrains

I take one when I get a hardcore hangover and it helps more than 3-4 Aleve/Advil/etc... but don't do it on an empty stomache and make sure you take it with plenty of fluid

Look into Limbrel. I'm not sure what you mean by "Now I just hurt all the time." but this med works great for aches and pains.

I had migraines as a child.

The doctors told my Mom my veins were constricting in my neck, they would inject something into an IV they put into my arm and ask me when my headache went away.

They then gave my mom a prescription of pills to take that helped.

I finally quit having them, then I had some in my 30s and 40s.

I woke up in my garage one morning and sometimes on the living room, floor and would not remember anything but the pain the night before.

The worst one lasted almost 30 hours, I turned up my stereo so the neighbors wouldnt hear me moaning, it helped to intwine my fingers and put my hands on my head and lean my head back and I would walk like an insane person all through the house.

After 20 hours of walking alternated with reclining on the couch I kept hearing like I was stepping on something squishy.

I had gotten blisters on my feet that had busted and they were weeping bleeding on the floor.

I have nothing but compassion for people with migraines, it is hard to imagine if you have never had one....

That sounds terrible. My wife has a problem with migraines, though thankfully they're not nearly that bad. I'm glad I rarely get headaches, head pain just takes over the rest of your body.

Also, OP, any update? Did you get better?

I agree. Nothing shoots you up the ER priority ladder like telling them, "i'm having the worst headache of my life". You wouldnt happen to be a hypertensive smoker too, would you?
