I am not kidding, its an old grand-ma trick, it is supposed to work.

heheh. Dabbing your urine on zits is a great remedy for acne too. It's the perfect PH value.

used to happen to me. i chilled out and not worry/get exited over everything and it stopped. maybe you just need to calm down :)

i.e. i would think about the hands sweating, and it would get worse. now i don't.

Just calm down? That worked for me on the pit-sweat, but my hands still go nuts....
i'm curious to know if it has to do with diet/exersize? Since when i used to play sports i really wouldn't sweat at all, but off the field in an air-conditioned room i'd be making little puddles.....it's not like that anymore, but as i said, my hands still get clammy.

I don't really get excited at all. I'm a very relaxed guy.

My hands sweat when I'm just sitting around and doing nothing. They're only dry for the 30 minutes following a shower. I'm going to try carrying around some powder or something.

Tea for Sweaty Palms and Soles

Sweaty hands can be embarrassing and sweaty feet can lead to foot odor and increase the risk of athlete's foot. One dermatologist we consulted offered the following home remedy: Boil five tea bags in a quart of water for five minutes. When the solution cools, soak your hands for 20 to 30 minutes nightly. Tea contains tannic acid, which is also found in commercial products such as Ivy Dry, Zilactol and Zilactin

i have problems with this too. i've used a product called certain dri, that is an anti-perspirant but with a higher concentration of aluminum chloride. works pretty well, but i try not to use it too often. i think it's sold at drugstores.

I have almost the same problem. It's not 24/7 but just about.....and even when i'm perfectly comforatable, bam, there goes the sweat....i haven't been able to find a solution either, so it'll be interesting seeing what people come up with in here.

Well, yeah, I guess my problem isn't 24/7 either. There are times when my hands are just right, but that's only when they're in their dryest state.

I live in Tucson, AZ. There is no water here. Even when it's cold and dry my hands are all clammy!

I live in Bullhead City and my hands are the same way......its quite embarassing though....my boyfriend is always saying how my hands get all sweaty....they are always moist....cant help it.

Wouldn't that make the sweating worse? And wouldn't my hands feel uncomfortably warm after awhile? I live in a desert. Maybe I should consider that though (even if it's slightly annoying)

Handkerchief, that's a good idea, but it doesn't get me through the day. It requires constant drying if I try to use napkins or a handkerchief of some sort. For some reason I just keep sweating more and more!

There is a cure. It is a simple medical procedure with minimal risk and is covered my most insurance companies. It is called endoscopic thorasic sympathectomy. It is a minor outpatient surgical procedure that cures your condition.

It is also used to treat facial blush. If you watch grays anatomy it was done to a girl in one episode who suffered from facial blush.

Get one of those video games controllers that has a fan inside of it, and vents to blow on your hands. Can't remember their name ... but I know I've seen mice and PS2 controllers like that.

Have you had your thyroid checked? Sweaty palms is a symptom of hyperthyroidism (not hypo) I believe.

You might just grow out of it. Mine used to be bad, but they've been getting better over the last few years (I'm 24). They still get bad sometimes, but they're usually ok for shaking hands and stuff.

Don't keep drying, but use the handkerchief when you need them dry.

A friend of mine has really clammy hands too. He touches the table for a second and you can already see sweat on it. It's the weirdest thing but it's fvcking hilarious.

No, never had my thyroid checked. I'm pretty healthy, so I ended up never getting any of my organs checked :p

Hopefully I just grow out of this or something. I'm going to buy a bottle of rubbing alcohol soon to see if that helps at all.

I am telling you, you should look into ETS if you have insurance. Most will cover it. It is safe medical procedure.
