I've suffered with this for all my life. Is there a solution?

It doesn't piss me off so much as it does others. People don't like to use the video game controller after me. Washing my hands makes it worse. I can't hold hands with anyone for more than 5 minutes!

Oh dear goodness. I predict a response that will get this thread locked in about 25-30 minutes or less.

Well are we talking cold and clammy from sweat or just clammy? I did a quick google search and for some people it's genetic.

dhmm, my hands are always dry.

Heh, it must suck if it's genetic.

Try this:
Rub you hands w/ rubbing alcohol every so often. This will dry the crap out of them, and they'll start peeling.
But, you know, if you want to get rid of the extreme, try it using the other extreme lol.

I mean, rubbing alcohol won't hurt. Your hands touch a ton of things durnig the course of the day. It'll be good to disinfect them once in awhile.

Do you have problems making eye contact with people as well? Do you grip well when shaking hands with someone?

I have almost the same problem. It's not 24/7 but just about.....and even when i'm perfectly comforatable, bam, there goes the sweat....i haven't been able to find a solution either, so it'll be interesting seeing what people come up with in here.

Well, yeah, I guess my problem isn't 24/7 either. There are times when my hands are just right, but that's only when they're in their dryest state.

I live in Tucson, AZ. There is no water here. Even when it's cold and dry my hands are all clammy!

Maybe I'll try this, I did not know that rubbing alcohol dries out your skin. Then again, I've never gotten that stuff on my skin! I've only ever used hydrogen peroxide for disinfection

If you are on a date put some napkins in you pockets and secretly dry them when you feel them getting clamy

Go to your dermatologist and get something called Drysol. It's very cheap. You apply it to your hands at bedtime, and [if you want to] wrap it in something to keep moisture in [think plastic] and when you wake up you'll have dry hands for the next 4-14 days.

Now you can get laid. ;)

Pee on your hands.Im not kidding. When you wake up the morning, your first pee, drop it on your hand for a few weeks( like 2-3) and see if you your hands feel better after that.

I am not kidding, its an old grand-ma trick, it is supposed to work.

There is a treatment for this involving submerging your hands and feet into water/chemical solution? with a low voltage/current running through it. I don't remember the specifics on it, but a google search will likely find what you need.

Sister did it when growing up and worked well for her.
