Yesterday was my 8th. I don't know what made me decide to count them and I was a little surprised at the total. I am 48 now and haven't had one be may fault since I was in my 20's. How many for the rest of you?

Been driving since I was 16, have had one accident, and it wasn't my fault. My old truck was hit once in a parking garage by a co-worker, and my Honda Accord was totaled in my driveway by a drunk driver.

- Dad was driving. Someone two cars ahead suddenly hit their brakes shortly after the traffic light turned green, so there was a little pileup there. It was all low speed, less than 10mph. I was in the back seat, and most cars at that time did not have shoulder harnesses there. I folded up nicely and smacked my face on the back of the front seat and got a big fat lip.
- Mom was driving. We hit a deer at about 45mph. I think the deer was the only one injured though.

Me driving: No accidents. I've been driving since...2000, I believe.

The one I had before this was also at low speed. Dude behind me not paying attention and tapped my bumper. It got pushed in a bit, but its my work truck, so I didn't even ask for his info. Is it a coincidence that all 3 times I have been rear ended its been Asians? I am talking about auto accidents, so dont even go there on the rear ended thing. D:

Was hit one time by a Wheels (Red Cross) bus. He changed lanes into me while I was right beside him. Said he didn't see me even though the he hit me in the rear passenger door with the pull out step under his driver side window. No other accidents but a few damn close calls.

I've been rear-ended more times than I can count (once by a cop :D) but I've only ever been in one serious accident.

it was quasi-my fault... I was at a blind intersection, trying to go straight, and I had a stop sign.

I was slowly inching out into the road to see on-coming traffic, and I got to a point where I was already half-way into the intersection. I figured that the only way for a car coming from the left to swerve around me would be by going into the left lane, and what jackass would do that?

so, seeing the nearest car a decent clip away from me, I gunned it to get through the intersection... and of course, he swerved to hit me and clipped my car near the gas tank, shattering my rear axle.

it was repairable, but it would have cost more than that POS car was worth.

upsides:

-the other driver didn't have insurance, so even though it was my fault, my premiums were never affected (and no point in filing a claim on a car headed to the scrap yard)

-the force of the impact actually fixed a back problem I had been experiencing for months... prior to the accident, I'd been waking up with back pain every night. I slept like a baby afterward.

My accident yesterday the girl just didn't even see me and made a left turn and I couldn't stop. She didn't even have her hard copy license yet, just the paper one from the DMV. Poor girl had her brakes fail on her car and almost had an accident recently. Now she was driving her moms car and this happened. I saw her through the window before I hit her, looking straight ahead and had no clue it was about to happen. I expected more damage to my truck, but it held up well and is able to be driven, but I am without my passenger turn signal light and the headlight isn't straight.

Numerous depending on what qualifies as an accident. It would take awhile to add them up.

Zero so far, but I don't drive too much. Nowadays when I do, it's for work on 6 hour marathon rides. I try to stick to country-driving only and almost refuse to drive in the city - it's just too much shit going on and shit waiting to happen. If it means not having to deal with that bullshit, then I can spare an extra half-hour to an hour a day.

Someone I know recently admitted to me that she had 8 accidents in one car in the past 10-ish years... She just got a new bimmer 328i.

Speaking of, shit just happens some times, so it's hillarious that we make cars so fragile even at super low speeds.

About 5 or 6, only 1 was my fault. The worst was when I hit some black ice during the "Blizzard of '95" and slid sideways into the curved edge of a guard rail doing about 55mph. There was no more snow or ice anywhere else, I just happened to find the one patch still leftover days after the "blizzard" was over and melted away. I say "blizzard" because I live in Georgia and a blizzard here is an October week up north...lol

54 yr old and about +30 years of driving and never caused any "accident". No speeding ticket of any kind during that period. I always leave a 2 car gap in front of me just in case of sudden stops and always look before I cross the green light intersection for any possible red light chasers. I always drive at the speed other cars go when in the highway and make sure to avoid tailgaters. Hate those people who suddenly change lanes without the courtesy of giving a signal.

Only involved in 1 as a front passenger Oct 1994. Younger sister hit a light pole at while doing a quick left turn and told her to slow down. 2 month new car (White Chevy Cavalier)<1500 miles was totaled, brother in-law/older sister owner was not happy. Police were there in about 2 minutes (passerby obviously called) and asked if we were okay. From their estimate car hit pole at about 35 mph and if we didn't wear seat belts could have been worse for us. Had bruises in my chest for a few weeks from the seat belt pulling me back. Sister driver broke a finger that had to be in a splint for a few weeks. Light pole had to be replaced.

I've been in two. One, some drunk teens (they were 16) tried to turn right from the far left turning lane at a light and hit me. Second one was last July when a guy ran a red light.

Been driving for 12yrs and no accidents yet. I'm a defensive driver and don't trust anyone else on the road. Living in the LA area I've learned that no one knows how to drive so I don't trust anyone to know what they're doing.
