I have a question for Asian folks here about college education.

Most of my wife's education was supported by VA. She graduated in '99. For her cert program (Speech Path Assistant), I pay for it. When she goes to grad school, I will also pay for it. To pay I started taking on jobs as a male hooker on 54th and El Cajon.

lubed or no lube.....

Asian here
Almost all scholarships the first year, I paid the rest
Some scholarships the following years and I paid the rest, got some tuition reimbursement from work.

Should be going back for grad school...Will be on me, don't think I'm getting any scholarships for that.

my parents paid for it up-front, and then I paid them back after I graduated and got my trust fund from my grandfather (and had just about enough money left over to buy a pizza and a 6-pack. lol)

You're Asian? Somehow always pictured you as white (don't know why)?

Well, let me ask this. If your parents assets are $500k US or more, would they contribute greatly if not all?

White, parents paying for 3 out of the 4 years + some living expenses. I'll have one year of loans which will wind up being roughly $25K.

White, not until recently did my parents start helping at all now that I am in my last two years after taking a year off to work and earn money for school. I pay for tuition and supplies myself. My parents contribute to living expenses but don't pay for everything.
