Oh, and BTW, you don't have to be a Jew to not celebrate Christmas. I am an atheist. My belief is that there is no God, I don't celebrate Christmas. I give presents beause everyone does, and that kinda sickens me too, Christmas is now pretty much all about giving presents.

Next year I'm going on holiday with my Dad, and we're going somewhere that they don't celebrate Christmas, just to get away from all this crap. It's all a total fake, even half the people who call themselves Christians probably don't care about what it's really about, to most people it's all about the presents.

Example: From a study done in the UK:
~25% of parents said they would take their children to Church.
~75% of parents said they would make sure their child still believed in Santa Claus (the big red jolly man invented by the Dutch tha Coca Cola corp).

At the same time Valentines day started requiring a major present (diamonds) to your SO, mothers day/fathers day became a major present holiday, Easter became a major gift day, hell even secretaries day became a big day.

At least noone can blame me for not sending them a St. Patricks Day card. I'm celebrating it the way it was supposed to be celebrated... by getting so sh!tfaced I can't even remember my own name.

The diamond thing is a joke anyway. Did you know that if it wasn't for the DeBeers cartel, diamonds would be worth about as much as crystal? There are so many diamond mines now, and they're such high producers, that there is no reason for them to be so expensive.

I personally prefer rubies and sapphires and such.

I dreaded Christmas for many years even when I still believed in Santa... I don't think I will get a single gift this year and I also haven't purchased a single gift. Unfortunatly my wanting to be a good uncle will force me to go to the toy store and buy something for my 2 nephews. But they are the only ones who I would feel guilty about not buying a gift for.

I truly hate the holiday! bah humbug!
