I've never had that issue. I don't put them in the "my music" folder, I made my own. Of course, all my albums are in sub directories but still when I've had misc. stuff laying in a directory I've always been able to view>list, sort by>date modified. I'm running XP Pro not Home, don't know if that makes a difference here.

Don't worry, I am not trying to help you and you are and idiot for calling something a bug just because YOU can't figure out how to fix it. I changed all my music folders ages ago to stop showing tag info and to treat them like ordinary data files so I don't see how this can be a bug.
