I hate WinXP

I hate the way it sets a folder with mp3s as a "music folder". I hate it because I can't set it to arrange them in order of date created. I try to set the folder to a regular folder, but it doesn't stick. Why does WinXP have to torture me like this? I don't want to freaking arrange my mp3s by "duration" or artist!!!

cant u go to view-choose columns?

No matter what I do, it's always a music folder. You have to change it in the options for that folder though, not view. The changes just don't stick. I wish they would fix the damn bugs.

I've never had that issue. I don't put them in the "my music" folder, I made my own. Of course, all my albums are in sub directories but still when I've had misc. stuff laying in a directory I've always been able to view>list, sort by>date modified. I'm running XP Pro not Home, don't know if that makes a difference here.

Sounds like a chair to keyboard interface problem. Uninstall the CTKI driver and re-install with an updated one.

That sounds like a real pain, i've got xp pro and never had that problem.

I like XP, but I agree, not having the option of normal file info can be a pain. I suspect there's a way to change it, but hell if I know.

yep. I've been telling you guys for years that XP licks my nads (and sucks at it) but few listen. They're too distracted by the resource hogging pretty colors and gay ass media players.

No problems with it here.

What is the program associated with your MP3 files? WMP?

I don't have any problems here either. Open up the My Music folder, go to View and select "Choose Details..." Then you should be able to select the file attributes including "date created." Plus you can de-select all the other options such as "duration" if you'd like.

So far, the changes I made have been saved. If you've done all of the above, hmm... I don't know what do then. I hope this helps.

So you hate an OS because you don't know what the fvck you're doing? Nice.
