I bought a springfield xd9. I have a garage. if someone breaks into my house/garage/etc then a 147gr hydro shok personal protection round will save me from them doing ANY harm to me when I bust open my door to my garage/house.

Same insurance policy I used when I lived in the states! Can't do that here..😎

pfft, getting a car stereo stolen is nothing.

Coming home to an empty house, or an empty apartment (I've done both) is one hell of a downer.

It's not just a car stereo. This is a Pioneer Navigation stereo. These cost well over $1000. Text

EDIT: Check out the MSRP on these babies. Text

someone broke into my car, breaking the passenger window to get a tire that I had in there. Everything was left behind, my digital camera, jumper cables, etc. but the tire, they took

I talked to some guys that used to break into cars when they were younger (got busted went to jail reintroduced to society ect.). If they hit one that had an alarm they would normally just continue to take whatever they were in there to take. If it was going to take a while alot of times they can disconnect the alarm. I don't believe alarms do anything to save your stuff. Unless your alarm passed electricty through the body of the person touching the car, which would be awsome.

you missed my point, its just a peice of hardware. it can be replaced.

Family videos, computers with years of emails and photos, sentimental items. while worthless to anyone else, are still irreplacable.

When my apt got hit, I lost about $5,000 worth of stuff, but what was really hard to let go of was just a simple CD case with a bunch of personal items burned on CD's and of course the HD of my comp that had years of personal corespondence as well as school work on it. My parents place got hit the same year, they lost about $10,000 worth of stuff, but were really sad about the home videos, some were transfers to VHS from film of my dads family taken as far back as WWII. The thieves just grabbed everything in the entertainment center, and likely went through it later and tossed all our personal stuff.

I know, it sucks for something like that to happen. I hope it never happens to me. That really sucks man. 🙁

And I know the stereo can be replaced. But that isn't my point. My point was that this navigation stereo shouldn't just be considered a car stereo.
