I hate that fact that liquor stores are closed on sundays

Anubis

No Lifer
im out of burbon, im out of run, i need more brandy and im almost out of scotch and vodka

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

religious laws FTL

its ironic that you cant go to the store and buy some alcohol to get wasted at home on sundays, but you can drive to the bar, get wasted and then drive home

WWJD?

I hate the fact that I have to go to a specific store to buy my booze. Back in Vermont every gas station and supermarket had all sorts of booze, only hard stuff did you have to go to a "licensed" store to get it, beer and wine was everywhere. Here, I have to go to a specific store, which means travelling a ways since there isn't one within walking distance of me.

Yeah they are closed here in CO on Sundays...at least here.

And you can't get jack shit in supermarkets...beer is about it.

Back in CA the supermarkets would have a decent selection of wine.

Though there is a liquor store right by pretty much every supermarket here.

As much as I don't enjoy alcohol, it is pretty damn stupid that religious laws like this exist.

Separation of church and state...?

I can go to the local grocery store to buy any kind of booze...beer, wine, hard liquor...at prices far more reasonable than I remember paying in the state-owned liquor stores in many states I've lived in....and 7 days per week, although they do suspend sales at either 1 a.m. or 2 a.m.

Same here.

California does have its perks.

Is it really that hard to plan ahead? My county is dry on Sundays, no one cares. If we have to live and die by the amount of liquor we have then we make sure that we have enough on Saturday. If being out of liquor for one day is that detrimental then you need to seek professional help.

Yep, I wanted to stop and get a bottle of Jager for tonight, and get some Gin to have with dinner.

Damn me not remembering to get to the store yesterday! 🙁

It's not the absence of alcohol sales on Sundays that pisses me off, but the reason behind the absence.

Not closed here in Ca.

But here in CO we have drive-through liquor stores. They are just closed on Sundays.

I never saw a drive-through liquor store in CA.

Laws like this are idiotic. The ONLY restriction on buying liquor should be that if you are not old enough to drink it, you should not be able to buy it.
