I'm trypanophobic, and I tried to go through with a blood test this morning---I probably have acid reflux, but the symptoms of that and of pre-diabetes are very similar, and both diseases run in my family---but the drugs my doctor prescribed to calm me down (Xanax and something else) failed to suppress the behavior. Miserably.
Compared to injections, pills are heavenly.

For my Crohn's, I'm on four Pentasa, an Iron pill, a Multivitamin, a Pro-Biotic, and a Calcium tab. That's 10 (vitamin & pro-biotic are 2 each) just for breakfast, and I have to do the Pentasa four times a day (22 total).
The wife has the same as above plus about 15 more for depression, kidney, and heart problems. She has three of those weekly pill boxes that have morning, noon, night, and bed sections - fully loaded.
Be glad you don't have her regimen; it would take you all day!
that's disgusting.
your wife doesn't need all those pills. she's a big pharma cash cow.
why doesn't she try alternative health care before she downs 15 health-deteriorating, symptom-causing, bullsht pills?

Alternative health care doesn't have the answer to every health issue, especially the ones she has - we've researched it. Vitamins and herbs don't offset chemical imbalances in the brain, and they can actually be quite detrimental to people with kidney disorders. The meds she's on have her in the best health she's been in since I've known her.
You may want to try making a less rabid and stand-offish post next time. Calling somebody's spouse a 'big ... cow' and berating their medical choices because they're not 'alternative' doesn't exactly open people's minds to want to listen to your suggestions.

It could be worse...
my friend is recovering from leukemia and he has to take 22 pills each morning and another 22 (same ones again) in the evening.
