...and summer. It's already hot and humid. Stinging insects are stirring. The air is full of pollen. The sun hurts my eyes. I'm already starting to feel as though the days are thick molasses that I have to slog my wet, sticky body through.

The worst part is how everyone else in the world is seemingly energized by this time of year. Everyone's suddenly bouncing around, being all productive, starting up their gardens and home improvement projects. I hate them all. I feel like I'm slowing down. To hell with spring. I wish winter never ended. I felt so much better then. /rant.

i'm with you. i can't tolerate hot weather or sunlight. and cheerful people annoy me.

Also, the stupid birds are waking early and chirping loud enough to wake the dead. annoying as all get out. why is there something called SAD seasonal affective disorder about winter - but no name for those of us who aren't at our best in summer. i feel left out.

What the fuck are you doing out of your mom's basement anyway?

We had a very weak winter here. VERY little rain, only a few cold mornings. (well, cold for here...<30F)

I agree. I do enjoy summer to an extent, but love winter. I can't stand all the cheerful weathermen when they talk about 80 degree temps in March. "Another beautiful 80 degree day tomorrow" Yuck. lol

Yeah, I know what you mean. I hate when the weather is warm and you don't need to wear heavy coats, scarves, hats, boots, gloves and thermal underwear. And don't even mention all the stupid trees, flowers and bushes just blooming with various colors. You know what else I hate is when I look at the clock and the sun is still shining past 5:00pm. I mean what's that all about, it should be dark and cold after 4:30pm every day of the year. Why would anyone enjoy spring break, picnics, bar-b-que's, swimming, surfing and walking on the beach sun when they could be shoveling snow and sprinkling salt on ice. The world is filled with maniacs.

Just hanging out in my house as much as possible, worshipping before the altar of my central air unit. We had a weak winter as well. It was still much better than what we're getting now. The way I see it, only reptiles should relish this weather. I'm a warm-blooded mammal who doesn't need 80+ degrees to be comfortable.

Worst part is that the office gets too hot. Already 80F indoors, and it was 70F just a few days ago at the end of a cold front.

I like Winter, but I hate shoveling every day and scraping the car every day. But then summer can be too hot and uncomfortable. You can beat the cold, but you can't as easily beat the heat. You cannot undress more than naked, and if you're still sweating naked, then not much you can do. Also summer has lot of bugs, spider webs, and lots and lots of wetness. I hate rain. Guess I have to weight in the pros and cons of both seasons and only think of the pros. The nice thing with summer is being able to just walk outside without bundling up. Camping is fun too.

I hate spring specifically more than summer. It's just so messy with all the snow melting. Really have to watch where you walk too. 8 months of various layers of dog poop are suddenly revealed as the snow melts. It almost feels like spring here lately, so much snow has been melting it's crazy. Winter is not quite done yet though, as I've learned throughout the years. We always get a "faux spring" like feeling, it's a sign that Winter is almost over, but the worse has yet to come. I figure at least one more good blizzard before it's over.

Psh you don't even know the hatred for spring I have. I live in Florida.

Right now it's pollen mania, and already mid 80s everyday. Next up is mid 90s everyday with humidity the same. For about 6 months straight. Oh and then theres the love bugs in May. I could go on and on... Can't wait to get away from this shit hole.

Yeah it does sound nasty.

Florida is a nice place to visit in winter to get away from our winters, but I would not want to live there.

Agreed. So glad my parents decided to move me down here when I was young....not.

What's worse is when people rave about how happy they are to live here, like its great...I'd rather live in Alaska. The only time you'll catch me outside after April is if I'm in some sort of water or on the way to my car. I peek out the window and watch the lawn maintenance man do his thing...poor fella.

not so hateful as you, I just hate how people sort of seem to multiply in warmer weather, its so much nicer in winter when so many try and stay in at all costs, less idiots to get in my way

also don't care for how phony/stupid people can be, where at the first sign of good weather they come out in droves in their shorts/tshirts/sandals even though its not quite warm enough to be doing so and then they shiver and complain

I love this time of year (except the pollen). I can't wait to get the boat in the water, wearing shorts, kids' baseball....ahhh, life is good my friends.

I like spring, but not really looking forward to it much this year. At least my allergies are no longer a problem. For a few years there spring was miserable because I somehow developed hellacious allergies. I ended up taking some sick days over it (like 2 a year) because I'd have like nonstop violent full body sneezes.

I still have no idea WTF it was all about as I had never had that before or since. It was like a constant cold from hell for like 2 weeks straight, a couple of really bad days, and then a few other days here and there. Alternating from ass kicking sneezes, your sinuses flowing like an open tap, and then your sinuses being clogged so your head and chest just is just congested as hell...

The best part was having to get whacked out on drugs to make it feel like you weren't whacked out on drugs.

This is my response to even thinking about that:

Waking up from a nap induced by allergy medication congested and finding that it had warmed up nicely to about 90 inside was always nice.

Spring and Fall are great. I probably have more physical activity in the spring than at any other time due to massive amounts of yard work. I could tolerate summer if we actually got rain. The last 2 summers have been drought-like conditions and I'm not optimistic that it will be any different this year.

I have to push mow about .5 acres in the summer, even if it is 95 outside. Now THAT sucks but fortunately I have a self-propelled mower.
