I hate people that exploit hot deals

Unfortunately, that's something you'll have to get used to if you want to frequent Hot Deals forums.

There are thousands of users who read FW, AT, Techbargains, etc, etc. Divide that among 50 states and there a good chance other Hot Dealers are in your area, scurrying for deals. Sometimes you get in on deals, sometimes you miss out.

Get over it and move on........these types of deals come and go.
 
Jeesus, you people don't think theres anything wrong with this? I personally hate these people. I already get pissed if there isn't something for me, but when someone buys all this crap just to resell it, it really ticks me off.

Yea, sure, he beat me to it and I should shut up, but thats why I never share my hot deals except to close friends anymore. Sometimes I come across a great deal but I just remember the time I saw some prick pick up all of such and such and handed one to each of his buddies and walked out of the store while I couldn't have one. I think about that, and I give my friend's a PM/aim, whatever and thats it. I never share em to the public anymore.

I dont think the guy really did anything wrong

Seems to me like Bestbuy is trying to do the whole bait and switch routine
 

I'd rather get mad at the stores for not supplying bigger stocks when they advertise BOILING HOT deals. Case in point, last month I go to Best Buy after learning about a $20 Netgear wireless router in the Hot Deals forum, but of course when I get to Best Buy they're all out of stock. They tell me to check back in a few days but when I do check back they tell me they're once again all out of stock, even after having received a new shipment of them (must of been one f'ing tiny shipment :roll😉. And it was repeatedly for the duration of the weekly sale the same unfortunate story at several other BB locations within a 100 mile radius.

And of course the sales reps never have any direct knowledge of when or if they'll be getting product x with shipment y on day z, all they can tell you is if any products have been requested put on order, but even then they're still unsure as to when said products will arrive. Whatever...

Oh and I was told they're not supposed to hold items for you either.

I'm not afraid to admit that I DO buy hot deal items and I DO sell them on ebay on occasion. However, I'm not by far, a lurker. I try to contrubute back to the forum by helping out others, hosting images (officemax deals), and reporting back from the store. Most of the items that I do buy I use for myself or save it for a friend. I only buy one or sometimes two if I am getting it for a friend, THAT IS MY LIMIT.

I don't like people who horde all of the items and sell them on ebay. I wouldn't mind if Best Buy had only 4 in stock and 4 people in front of me got one each. Thats fine with me because I can only blame myself for not getting there sooner.

I used to think, "wow, those a-holes on ebay... buy from the hot deals forum and sell them on ebay... and make profit". Then I think to myself... "how come I can't join too". Popper, it's an easy few bucks on the side. Even if you only make $100 or $200/month off ebay, it's more money then you would of had. Think of it this way... 1 hour of your time you can make $20-$30 without too much work. Don't criticize those who beat you at your own game. Next time go out early and beat them at their own game!!! =)

I hate each and everyone one of those a-holes that lurk on the forum and buy out everything before the people who post does. Thats just something we will have to live with. Next time just get there faster or run accross the floor to get to the hard drives. You may look phyco, but you will be a phyco with 4 $79.99 hard drives in your hands looking at the guy and his wife with a grand total of 0.

Maybe next time you will put one in the back for yourself instead of being a bitch and whining about missing out on a good deal.
 
next time there is a deal get there early with 4/5 of your friends. clear out the stock of the "hot deal" and give that guy finger.
And sell the stuff ( without too much markup) on the FS/FT forum.

Mabe retailers could just put one item on the shelf at a time so when some parasite like that shows up he gets one and that's it..may not be the best idea but retailers got to realize it's poor representation to promote something and have one retail purchaser walk out with em all.

Yeah I wasn't aware that this was a communist or socialist state. While this is not something I would do, and I can't find anything wrong with it. Sure he is greedy, but so are all of the other hotdealers. This is like trying to define various levels of greediness. I have no problem with someone getting a hot deal and people DO abuse things. I though that was what F2Wallet and Hot Deals was all about? Fvcking over Corporate America. Redistributing wealth.
 
I love to make a dollar but on a deal like that grabbing up everything in sight and not leaving any for others who might really need them is so wrong.I can afford to go pay for a hard drive,many here can't,I wouldn't be greedy like that.

I just found out about this 3 hours ago and checked the HD's section. Sure as hell, some KC guys snagged them all up already. Got a few other BB's to try, but I'm probably assed out. Am I mad? Nope. There will be another deal. There will be another guy buying an armful. Someday I'll get one.
 
I'm afraid of the 6'5" 270lbs guy...imagine if that fvcker trips over a bread roll he dropped and lands on you?

Oh, there is no denying it is greedy... and it is not something I would personally do. I just can't fault the guy for working the system just like all the othe HD'ers do .
 
Yes, hot deal exploitation sucks, I do resell stuff on eBay, but don't abuse Hot Deals.

Best thing is, I live in an area where most of the deals are still in stock, not a lot of Ferengi in my area😀
 
I would never be greedy because in my opinion being greedy is very mean. We have to live with and accept all kind of different people though. It may not be fair but thats the way it goes.
 
How exactly is it being greedy? He got up before you and got to the store before you. You snooze, you lose. Next time, you get up earlier and get there sooner and get your HD. Hell, I buy in bulk everytime I see a good Hot Deal just to resell the extras or give them to family members/friends. Considering how hard I have to work to support myself and my new wife, any extra money is always welcome 🙂
