You're not hearing what I'm saying. First, nurses can provide anti biotics. Second, wound care nurses have greater skills in dealing with wounds than doctors because they see and deal with many more cases on a regular basis than do doctors. Finally, most nursing is NOT done in hospitals. Long term healthcare of all kinds is done by nurses NOT doctors. Nurses are not in the business of 'TLC,' that's what SO 's and mother's are for.
Nurse's cannot provide antibiotics. They can administer antibiotics after they have been Rx'd by a physician. An NP or a PA can Rx, but not an RN.
