That's the Ford Excursion or Chevy Suburban. Mormons need more room as minivans only hold 4 kids.

edit: plus, Mormons live in Utah and need 4WD.

I love them. And the whole statement about the driver's usually being slow and such is complete BS! My dad drives one and hes a freaking maniac on the road, drive 10-20 km over the limit usually. Its all about the skill of the driver, and usually not the vehicle(unless its broken or something is very wrong with it).

Yeah, one example proves a lot about the majority.

make that 2... and 3 if you count my wife
your gross generalizations and sterotypes are off again.

But then again, even if they were right, heaven forbid those "soccer moms" (and dads) drive a little on the safer side to prtoect themselves and their children from idots like you zipping in and out of traffic.

To top it off, most people who drive minivans are either ditzy housewives or "Ned Flanders" suburbanites who drive 10mph below the speed limit.

i would have to disagree i drive a 95' nissan quest (mini van) and im always doing 90 or above in the 60-70mph zone :) or 100 if i feel the need :)

also i would have to say my mini van(s) get 30mpg or more.. i drive 80miles each day back and forward.. and its $5 each way :p

mini vans are for moms or dads with kids. and to have the available room for road trips.. yea sure you can take a road trip in a hot rod or a street tuner but with 4+ people in it all trying to be comfortable and lay down and ****** it wont happen the mini van is to provide comfort for everyone (except the driver because staring at the lines in the roads for 4+ hours will drive you nuts!!)

I'm am definitely not housewife(or husband for that matter) and neither am I a Ned Flanders kinda guy.

Minivans are eh. I prefer a nice sedan, coupe, or sports car. A van is good for parties or carrying around your friends.

and you are better with your QX4, somehow? minivans tend to be more practical than SUVs, but aren't "cool" for soccermoms to drive.

my mom has a chrysler town and country, and it's a pretty damn nice van. i've driven it quite a bit, and can't complain (other than the fact that i don't like the way the computer controls the shifting)
