HELP ME!

My Aunt and Uncle are up, along with their twin daughters. I think they are 10 years old, but I dunno. They are quite annoying.

Are all kids this annoying? I don't recall myself being this immature when I was their age. They have absolutely NO respect for my stuff.

Somebody please save me! I can't even browse Anandtech in peace!

I completely agree. Sure kids can get annoying sometimes, but that is their nature. They should definitely have respect for your property though. Kids will be kids and they need to be happy and have fun to get through a day. And instead of TV and candy, get them into something constructive or even something that allows them to exert some of that endless energy.

Like tidying the house, or cooking dinner!

Maybe you could play with them for a while?

I love kids... I'll be babysitting my friend's 2-year-old daughter all weekend. I can't wait to cuddle with her and have her fall asleep on my tummy....

I'm not particularly enamored of kids either. In general, if I'm around them for longer than, say, two or three minutes, I want them to go away.

depending on age: first they're innocent and cute and sweet, than they're cute, then they're sweet. then they get on your nervs, then they get attitude... argh... and then they become teenagers... ARGH!!!

I like kids, but then again the kids I know aren't brats. If I tell em to shut their pie hole they'll do it.

I came home today and my 16 year-old had completely cleaned the kitched and reorganized the cupboards.

If I would have done that when I was in high school, my dad would have come home and complained that the cups were not in the most easily accessible order in the cupboard... and he liked to complain that I never "took the initiative" to do stuff around the house.

Wow! I can only hope that my kids do things like that in the not so far future. You better double check those cupboards, there may be a reason for the reorganization... ;)

Well, I did have to tell her the plates should be in two stacks...just makes it easier to get a larger plate without having to lift the stack of smaller plates off first. ;)

But...I thanked her. She just gets a bug sometimes to clean. She'll even do laundry sometimes!

That's a negative!

If I do play a game with them (i.e. some card game or anything), they hate to lose. So I have to let them win. But then they'll go on for hours about how they beat me.

Grr.. Oh well, mebbe I'll go play some basketball and hope they don't come outside...

Edit: oh yeah! I get my car tonight. So if they get on my nerves too much, I'll just drive away. Thank god for a drivers license :D

Bad kids! Its the parent's fault. Tis what happens when you spoil the brats.
