<< You probably need to clean the burners, igniters or adjust the flame. Or you were messing around, shaved your arm and now you are too embarrased to admit it.:D >>

LOL no way. I never shaved my arm.

<< Guess how much the heat output is ? 3000Btu each. >>

A can of sterno puts out more heat than that. Something is seriously wrong here!

Cheers!

<< dude watt is volts x amperes. it has nothing to do with time.

you are wierd.
>>

def. of watt

You're right in ELECTRICAL context. Watt is not just for electricity. Engines are often rated in horsepower as well as kilowatt in Europe now.

A heat of one joule is produced when something is dragged one meter with force of one Newton.

one joule per second is one watt or can also be written as one Newton-meter per sec=one watt.

Suggestion: retake your 10th or 11th grade physics.

I prefer gas stoves as well.

Natural gas actually has no smell at all. The gas company puts the scent in there to allow people to recognize gas leaks.

I love gas stoves. I don't like electric ones. You have to wait for them to heat up and with gas stoves you can regulate the heat better. :)

ceramic glass units with halogen elements as the heat source are kewl looking and energy efficient;)

this site mentions induction elements which transfer electromagnetic energy directly to the pan, but i've never seen one b4.. supposedly most energy efficient:p http://energyhawk.com/cooking/cooking1.php

and this is on that site too:p
First you have to choose between gas or electric burners. Serious cooks like gas because it allows for better control of the amount of heat and the speed with which it can be altered. And while gas continues to be cheaper than electricity this sounds like the best money saver. In addition, the new models must have an electric ignition rather than the old energy-burning pilot lights. Be careful if you choose to go with one of these: you are bringing gas into your home, and gas can blow up. (Of course, those electric ignitions probably won't accidentally blow out so they sound safer than the old pilot lights.) Don't forget: even with the newer models you need a fan that vents to the outside.

and jeez god your arm hair was that flamable? grease boy?

I would agree that gas stoves are better than electric ones... but gas stoves are also cheaper? Then why are we even using electric stoves? 4/5 of the places i've lived in have had electric stoves... i always thought they were more energy efficient.

they smell like fart don't they? I had someone over and there was a gas leak and we kept accusing of each other that one of us was farting. truth is they smell, the gas company just say that so they can charge you more money for it. like gasoline, it cannot be odorless.

Thats the best of all to have, Gas Ovens make the food taste like crap, and yes natual gas doesn't have a smell, la la la, but they make it so it does for gas leak reason's, with that it makes the food taste that way also

Have you ever tried using a wok on a electric stove?

Update: Hairs on my right arm was burned unevenly and my solution was to shave it completely so it'll be uniform. I made it through first few classes, but finally a girl noticed at lunch and she wasn't afraid to ask. I pretty much explained what happened and I was the object of the laughter for rest of the day :(. :(

Yeah. Just tell everyone you're trying out for the swim team or something. Makes you look like a real hardcore swimmer.

It's winter anyways (at least in this hemisphere). Wear a long sleeve shirt or jacket and stop worrying about your arm hair.

Why not go to your parents and whine about your crappy sub $10k stove and maybe they'll get you a new one for Christmas!
