I hate Eudora

I thought this was going to be about Pulitzer Prize winner Eudora Welty*. Imagine my disappointment.

*Welty is also a skillful burper.

I didn't even realize anyone still used Eudora.
But, from what I remember, I'd much rather work with Eudora than Lotus Notes.

heh, my eudora doesn't work. I followed the instructions and all according to job's website, and I can receive but not send. So, I emailed tech support (using webmail) explaining this, and all I received from them was a link back to the same website about a week later. Thanks! It has now been more than 2 months at this new job, and I am receiving emails in eudora, and sending them using webmail...

I agree. We are stuck with Eudora Worldmail, which my boss purchased right before I started here. She thinks it's a good enough server, so she always turns down upgrade proposals.

There are a few holdouts. And rules here say we can't just tell them to use Outlook. However, we ARE allowed to tell people to stop using IE and use ***ANYTHING BUT IE***

I  Eudora.

I've been using it since I got online. It has every email I've ever sent and recieved.

I'm using v3.0.5. ©1991-1997. :Q 😀

Are you talking about the Eudora client or is there a Eudora server or web service? I never had any problems with the Eudora client except when McAfee spamkiller went and made unrequested changes to the pop settings.

Client. And it's terrible. We have a small bible sitting here on the desk filled with various eudora crashes and bugs we've encountered over the year and fixes/workarounds that were used. And it has *NEVER*, except for one situation where it was crashing on launch, replicated the circumstances of a previous event.

Eudora is better than Outlook Express. You can cripple the preview window so it doesn't use IE for rendering, making it much, much safer than OE.

Same. Eudora Pro rocks!

Eudora is great if set up correctly. The issue with it is it has TOO MANY settings that you can modify...more than any average user would ever need. I can see why some users would be put off by it though. With that being said, I just switched from Eudora to Thunderbird about 2 weeks ago.

eudora???? that still exists???

Eudora is horrible. Pine is worse.

Ban!

Pine > * :|

I used to watch even skilled people moaning about Outlook and the amount of gumph that's in there that you're really never going to use, while I worked at an average of twice as fast using the keyboard alone.
