They are slimy beyond all belief. I got approved for an Amazon.com Visa a couple months ago and I found out a few days ago that they (Chase) signed my account on for the payment protector crap. Okay well I call and they tell me its no problem and that they will cancel the service and credit my account the $15 that was charged. A few days go by and I still do not see any credit. However I notice a new charge for $15 for one of those credit reporting bureaus (Experian). I signed up for my free credit report exactly 1 month ago and the next day I called them up to cancel it because I did not want the month-to-month reports. I followed the automated voice options and ended with it telling me that my subscription had been cancelled and that no charge would be made to my account. Yet today I am getting charged for it. I swear to god I hate these companies. I am out $30 this month for their crap and they tell me everything is taken care of as far as cancelling the "services" but I have no way of actually knowing if they are in fact doing what they say. Would disputing the charge be the proper way of handling this or do I need to just keep calling until they finally follow through?
