You get used to the bitterness. I've had tons of things in my life that I found repulsive because of one incident. Jack Daniels...Edy's mint chocolate chip icecream, etc. Just ate small bits of them until I could eat them like normal again.

The one thing I CAN NOT eat is squash, probably because it resembles baby food and I reckon someone got carried away with the baby food at one point in my life before there were memories =p

You can either sip very small amounts of it and if that isn't working if you give it a GOOD EFFORT then you might be in the "can't eat it ever don't even try" group.

Just make hot chocolate, and start adding a little bit of coffee to it. Keeping adding a little bit more coffee until you overcome your childhood aversion to it.

On the top of my list is Tanzanian Peaberry, AA Kenya, Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, Sumatra and if I'm lucky I can find a pound or two from the Galapagos Island. I have often wanted to taste Kopi Luwak, but haven't been able to part with the money. All course ground just before brewing with filtered water in a French press. Come near my mug with sugar or cream and I will harm you.

Mmm, love your choices. I have yet to try Tanzanian Peaberry, though, I'll add that to my list.

Thank god. Imagine hating eggs? I am strangely interested in people's food aversions or limitations. Sometimes they tell me things like "oh, I don't eat mushrooms or onions" and my jaw drops.

I hate eggs. I'm not allergic, just don't like them. When I was a baby I ate solid foods pretty early, and liked everything. Except eggs. I would always spit them out. Every few years I've tried to force myself to like them but I just don't.

I love coffee though :)

coffee is nasty to drink, but i think the smell is divine! *swoon*

The smell of regular coffee or one of those flavored ones with the fancy name? The stench of regular coffee is almost enough to make me vomit. Some of those flavored ones (not really sure what else to call them) do smell deceivingly good, like vanilla or something like that.

Your jaw drops at people not wanting to eat fungus?

I hate coffee but I drink it the day before a weigh in due to its dehydrating, diuretic, and purgative qualities.

iced coffee
mocha coffee
vanilla coffee

These things do not taste like coffee. They taste like sugar, with a tiny tiny bit of coffee flavoring.

I love coffee, but only black coffee. OK, or coffee Ice Cream.
But I have a fondness for bitter.
Tea is good, IPAs are good, Imperial Stouts are good, etc ... the more IBUs the better!

if your iced coffee tastes like sugar it's because you put too much fucking sugar in it.

When I was a kid I tried chocolate covered coffee beans, and they were horrifyingly disgusting. To this day I almost gag thinking about that experience. However... I still can drink properly prepared coffee because it tastes nothing like what I experienced. Not a heavy drinker though, and if I can I usually get it flavored and sweetened. Some black coffee but not much

Missing out. IMO mushrooms are natures sponge and take on the flavor of what you put on them. They're best on pizza as they absord some sauce/grease so you end up with little bursts of flavor.

Tasty.

I've never put any sugar in it. Then again, the only times I've tried "iced coffee" is when my girlfriend asks if I'll try it, and like a sucker, I try it. bleh.

She does the same thing with my beers though. She doesn't like any beers, but is willing to try them all, hehehehe.

if she doesn't put any sugar in it it's impossible for it to be sweet

iced coffee = super dank coffee on ice

I've primarily consumed iced coffee for the past 10+ years. Sorry, you can't down a coffee like you can an ice coffee :)

She ruins all of her coffee with sugar.
She also ruins it with cream.

Two things I hate in coffee.

It's the hot water hitting the colon. Any hot drink will do that.

But why does iced coffee make me feel the same way? This is from a bakery that does good tasting coffee (vs. hot coffee at home that does the same). I like it once in a while for the sweet unique taste, but I can't drink that shit everyday, and multiple cups at that.

Coffee is also a stimulant and acidic, so it's a bit of a triple whammy.
