black coffee with honey

btw, don't just ask for coffee at Starbucks. they typically have three kinds brewing: regular, medium roast, light/blonde. they give regular by default which is really bitter. ask for the blonde/willow blend. its so light and.smooth it has renewed my love for Starbucks

iced coffee + 2 scoops chocolate protein powder = best ever! I don't particularly like coffee (hot or iced) other than that. I swear I've gotten even leaner since starting to do this in April.

People rip on Starbucks a lot, but I only ever go there for regular coffee and I have no complaints. I'm a fan of the bitterness of their regular black coffee. For that Folgers crap I have in my cupboard, I use three heaping tsps for every cup.

Been drinking coffee since I was 12. Got tired of adding creamer and sugar, but now the taste of adulterated coffee is nasty to me.

I hate coffee too - and people with stale coffee breath piss me off.

Worse is when these old guys who've just had 5 coffees before 9am go piss and I'm next in line. Coffee scented piss is about the sickest thing you can smell in a workplace. And don't deny it, coffee drinkers. Everything about the habit smells.

Do you have a lot of experiences like that? Where you have one bad experience and even as an adult you can't get over it? Luckily, I can't think of anything like that in my life. That must be terribly limiting. I don't think your case is unusual though. I hear all the time from friends that had food poisoning once from chicken 20 years ago and now they won't touch chicken. What a shitty life.

I have at least two I can remember now. Luckily these aren't common/everyday things so I don't feel limited at all.

One is a very specific type of salad that I don't know what the english word for (green beans + bean sprouts + shredded cabbage + some others with coconut dressing). Just the smell of it would make me gag. I wouldn't touch it to this day.

The other one is marzipan sweet. I believe I was about six when my mom brought some home and I liked it so much I ate a whole box in about 30 minutes. Five minutes later my stomach grumble and everything came back out (both upstairs and downstairs). The next 24 hours was pure misery.

Tea is better than coffee, but I do enjoy the occasional cup. I like the "oilyness" of black coffee, cream and sugar ruin that.

That's pretty much the only thing I have a problem with. I was even allergic to eggs at one time and got over it :)

I don't see why you have to like it? I don't like beer and that's that.

On the top of my list is Tanzanian Peaberry, AA Kenya, Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, Sumatra and if I'm lucky I can find a pound or two from the Galapagos Island. I have often wanted to taste Kopi Luwak, but haven't been able to part with the money. All course ground just before brewing with filtered water in a French press. Come near my mug with sugar or cream and I will harm you.

I don't get why people who don't like something feel the need to belittle those that do.

Thank god. Imagine hating eggs? I am strangely interested in people's food aversions or limitations. Sometimes they tell me things like "oh, I don't eat mushrooms or onions" and my jaw drops.

about 30 or so years ago, my parents took me to Red Lobsters. I don't know why, but when they brought out the shrimp platter with the big ass tail sticking up in the air, it freaked me the hell out. i haven't had shrimp in over 30 years and don't ever plan on touching it again. :hmm:

Isn't it an abomination in middle-eastern culture?

Coffee is nasty. Combining it with tasty stuff just wrecks the tasty stuff.

coffee makes me feel like taking a shit. If that's normal, I don't know why anyone actually likes it.

Just drink it black, you'll get used to it. I hated coffee too, but I needed a pick me up when I worked nights. If you drink it black there's no calories and there's actually some health benefits. After about 6 months the taste had grown on me, I love my black coffee now.

Seconded. I drink 1 or 2 cups of black coffee every morning when I get to work and I'm good to go.

I got a k-cup machine and it makes black-coffee that doesn't need anything to cover-up the flavor.
