I hate ALL religious..
good religious???? bad religious???
They were, they are and they will be the cause of many wars in this world, in the past, now, and the future!
In my opinion, religious believes are only for the WEAK people.

yeah, the freaks and children are out to play. You notice you don't see them in the streets cuz they know they are stupid and would be endangering themselves by speaking what is in thier tiny minds.

Freedom of speech is alive and well. We just don't tolerate idiots here. (ok we do tolerate some). Anyways, if you don't want locked and banned, state your opinion and back it up. Do it with good grammar. Present facts to back up your case. Don't just make stupid comments and flame bait people.

Millions of people are in a state of deep shock and grief right now. They have two things to turn to: Faith and/or patriotism.

Now is NOT the time to be slamming our government, our history, or people's faith.

Everyone here knows I'm a strong and ardent critic of our government, and a non-believer. However, now is a time we MUST show RESPECT for the beliefs, ideals and faith of the MILLIONS of folks who are grieving.

i do not hate religion. some people need to have it there or they cannot function properly. however, it is responsible for all war.

Well, you can poo poo and dismiss what this guy said, put him down and make fun of him, but why not deal with the substantive nature of his post? I asked one and only one person at work what he thought about what has happened this week. This guy grew up in Turkey, is a very smart guy, has been living in the US for double digits. I know that he prides himself on having a lot of knowledge about social anthropology, relavent things in general. His response, terse as it was, I can splay it out for you in total right here: He said that all religions should be destroyed. He feels that they are the framework upon which this activity, and similar activity is built. The conversation stopped there. It was truely probably 1/2 a minute. Make of it what you will.

I would like to question one thing. Since "God" has his or HER reasons for this happening, which god would it be? Would it be the self-righteous Christian God, or the God bin Laden and the like believe they are fighting for ( you did know his whole reason is to start a government on the basis of Islam). Or is it some other God? And yes, I am aware that the Muslim and Christian Gods are basically the same, but with the large differences in the religion, how can they be? I for one am agnostic - I don't follow any religion (nor Am I sure there is a God). Too many times have people used the religion excuse or reasoning to start some ridiculus war. I almost agree with the illeterate freefree that all religions do suck. I am aware that there are people of all different flavors that follow these religions, but I do believe that on the whole we would be better off with no religion. At least then people could decide and argue for themselves instead of having a 2000 year old book do it.
