Oh totally! One side is trying to overthrow an election and the other is trying to pass legislation to fix our infrastructure and more! Both totally corrupt!

/s

How big of an uninformed moron do you have to be to come to that conclusion?
What percentage of the bill is infrastructure what what percentage is designed for the government to grow tremendously? I'm sure gay mayor Pete is a total infrastructure expert despite being a lousy mayor of South Bend. But let's be honest, infrastructure will only be used to push more establishment rule over the population.

I couldn’t tell you but I can say that with 100% certainty that 0% of the bill is designed to overturn a valid election which makes your point completely fucking retarded. Since you seem to be a giant fucking moron, I don’t think you should be talking about anyone’s qualifications for anything.

Btw, you giant fucking moron, it’s the will of the people who are pushing for these sort of things, hence the reason the bill was passed in the first place by politicians the people elected.

Damn, that's not very inclusive and diverse of you. And not very tolerant at all. You need some inclusivity classes, buddy.

Don't you remember he tried to find anyone to tell him it was ok? Dan Quayle being a former VP would be considered a credible source.
To answer the above question, for the same reason you don't brag to you friends that...

you don't beat your wife/gf
You take care of your kids

Ask yourself is doing the bare minimum the standards this country should aspire to? This country no longer attacks black people with dogs and fire hoses. Is that brag worthy??

I did not say make him a Saint, but Mike Pence and other Republicans who stand up to crazy should at least receive credit where credit is due. And encouraged to do it more.

If only because we need to focus our attention on the Trumps and the crazies.

You seem disturbingly obsessed with what Pete Buttigieg does with his penis. Lonely? Not getting any? Or are you just a bigot?

Fixing bridges to make them safe is your idea of government overreach?
I don't think @raildogg realizes the dire state of bridges, tunnels, highways, and rails in the United States. The situation only gets worsen with people glued to their phones like raildogg don't realize what's happening around them, and things like this happen.

There even is a news report on the stupidity and the damages done. Then there are those that say the federal government is not responsible and should not pay.

Then the rail road industry has to deal with the road and rail planning stupidity sometimes. Not only you now have an angry truck driver, but angry Amtrack passengers as well.

I know I might be sounding dumb as if I am surprised or something, but I already know about this stuff already. it's just that I am trying to explain the importance of government funding for transportation, to raildogg who is under the age of 12 probably.
Sometimes such incidents are even more dangerous than the one above.
That is not the only such incident with rails. These rail incidents are not always die to traffic lights or a stuck truck. Sometimes its the driver that is just plain stupid to think they can beat the damn train.
So @raildogg , I hope you now understand that it's not just about bridges being fine or what not, but for repairs as well, when the federal government spends on transportation infrastructure.

That infrastructure gave us things like the Hoover Dam and the interstate highway system which have paid for themselves many times over.

Just in case you were remaining intentionally ignorant of those kinds of things.

Methinks this may be McConnell’s last term in Congress. He knows more than we do, but that’s what this move has me thinking. And if that’s the case, he might also be making moves to ensure his seat doesn’t go Trumpster Fire.

let's suppose mitch ditches himself...would his seat even have a chance to go to Dems? McGrath was down ~20pts vs. Mitch.

McConnell had already said the same thing about the Jan. 6 riot being an insurrection a few weeks after it happened. It would have looked bad for him to contradict himself, although it sure hasn't stopped him from reversing himself many times before. It seems that McConnell has decided that Trump needs to be gone from the party, the sooner the better, seeing as if Trump is in effect exploiting the party for his own purposes that will increasingly cause all manner of intra-party turmoil the closer it gets to 2024.

There's also the idea that Trump will surely usurp McConnell's agenda toward his vision of the party's future via Trump's vision of installing himself as Dictator-in-Chief, resulting in McConnell or any other high ranking Repubs playing a much less influential role in how and where the flow of cash is pilfered from the nation's treasury.

edit - added word "from"

McConnell did say that right after the 6th and then he backpedalled the fuck right back into party line - until now. So this is Mitch flipping his flip flopping.

Most of them secretly wish the DOJ would do their job and indict the asshole so they don't have to deal with his cult anymore.
Yup, as the evidence piles up all this is going to come down to one person, Merrick Garland and the DOJ. Judging by how long it's taking to do anything regarding the Mark Meadows situation one has to wonder if he has the balls to indite that orange bag of shit down the road.

So the RNC is backtracking on the "legitimate political discourse" comment they made in reference to the Jan.6 insurrectionists who attacked the Capitol by saying that they were referring to others who did not actively participate in the attack, which leaves the question of just what the RNC considers those rioters who actively participated in the break-in to be. It seems by their making a distinction between the active and non-active participants the RNC has unwittingly admitted that those who directly participated in the violence are insurrectionists after all.
