Nothing too advanced, though. I'm 16, and play piano for fun on the side of school, and everything else. Figure its good for college. I've played for about 8 years. You should know that I have a HUGE stage fright problem, and the last two recitals I've played at, I froze up. Luckily, I made it through this time, even with a couple few mistakes.

i used to play piano. stopped playing when i came to college. 🙁

maybe i'll buy myself a keyboard so i can revive my skills back.
 
not bad. i played for 3 years and then stopped. I can't say i head the mistakes but i've never heard the piece.you play nicely.

I played piano when I was little..gave it up b/c when we moved to the US my dad got me an electric keyboard and I hated playing on it...then one year they bought me a real piano and i picked it up again...then high school got me too busy so I quit again. Now i'm taking a bs piano class at the community college just for sh!ts and giggles..but i really wish I hadn't quit so many times so I can be good. lol.

You're really good, OP...and it's a very lovely piece. Congrats on overcoming your fear of performing and delighting us with a clip of your recital. 🙂

Thanks, everyone, for your compliments 🙂. The piece is Mozart's Sonata in D Major K. 284 (Allegro). It's supposed to be played much faster, but I just didn't have enough time for preparation to play that fast.

My daughter has been playing for 3 years and when I get home she will love to see this!

She is 8 now and by the time she has 8 years of teaching behind her, I would love to hear her play this.

What is the name of the piece you perfomed?

I, too, played for about six years and mostly stopped once I got a job, then completely stopped when I went to college. I haven't lost most of the skill I had, though.

Very nice stuff, keep playing. I have been struggling to learn to play piano for the last 5 years. I don't put enough time into it, but it's something I always wanted to do. To be able to just sit down at a piano and play a song seems so appealing to me. Good job.

No need to be a cocky jackass. I never said I was a great piano player, I was just posting something I was proud of. It's an accomplishment for myself, and I'm not trying to compete with anyone else.

Dude WTF. Is this sarcasm or something because I sure hope it is...

Good job OP. Mozart Sonatas are deceivingly difficult because of the crazyass phrasing. I enjoyed your performance. :cookie:

EDIT: Seriously SLCentral, nice job. That was a long song to play. I've played some like that in the past and they're tough. My vid is short due to my 25mb vid limit. I had to shorten the song up.
